AND since Gringos are perceived (and is true compared to many Ticos) to be "rich" and willing to pay higher prices that are often totally out of line with the price structure (income and cost of buying other items) in Costa Rica, the chicas charge much more! Very often the PRICE OF pu*sy IN COSTA RICA HAS ALMOST NOTHING TO DO WITH LOOKS NOR QUALITY OF SERVICE!!!
As for why chicas work in one or the other: In actuality many (most) of the chicas have worked in both and many work in both at the same time. Many chicas will work all day in the MP then work the REY at night (OH, the poor Gringo that "would NEVER do a MP chica"
Many of the working chicas are from very poor families and when they first start they do not have the cloths, makeup, etc. they perceive to be necessary to work in the REY so they start out in the really low end MPs. These are often very hot, very inexperienced, and very willing to please chicas. Many will, after making enough to buy the nicer cloths and makeup and getting some experience, then try the REY! Another reason many choose the MPs over the REY is security and privacy. Many are afraid of being seen at the REY. In most MPs they can see who is coming in before he can see them. If it happened to be someone she does not want seeing her, she can hide till he leaves.
Ironically many find they can actually make more money overall working in the MPs. Quite often many will go back to the MPs after trying the REY for a while This is where the big difference in "work ethic" and quality of service comes in to play! The ones who do not mind working for their money will work in the MPs, and many of the REY chicas are their because they do not want to work much but want to make a lot of money for the work they do. The average "good" MP chica can and will do 5-6 or more a day whereas the average REY chica will do ONE every 3-4 days. In the REY only a very, very small handful of chicas will even average one a day. The perceived income of the REY chicas by Gringos is totally out of line for 99% of the chicas. They ask "cien"! The vast majority will gladly go for $60-$70 and they are very lucky to "go" even once every other day! Say they are very good and go once a day; that is $60-$70 (and occasionally maybe $80-$100 a day) they are making. The average good MP chica will do 5-6 sessions every day. In most MPs she gets $20-$22 of the price. Therefore, thou she is working harder for the money, she will generally make "cien" per day and everyday. Some guys (many?) like the idea of a chica who only does one a day or less - they do not want "sloppy seconds"!! Other guys know that as long as the chica has showered good there is NO WAY for the guy to know if she has done none, one or 20 guys before him!
Two big misconceptions by men that have been medically proven to be totally wrong: (1) They can tell if a girl has had sex before him (only if she had not showered good and I personally am not going to do a chica who does not have very good hygiene)!! and (2) Having a lot of sex stretches her pu*sy!! and "wares it out"!! Hell I know one working chica here who has probably averaged well over 50 a week for over 10 years and she still has a very tight pu*sy!!
As for the MPs being cheaper, the two Gringo owned MP/bars/hotels (Scores and Zona2) are little if any cheaper than what you can get chicas for in the REY, especially when you add the cost of "extras" in. Also, there are now several HIGH END Tico MPs where you will pay "cien" or even more!!! Most or all the chicas in these places are "model" quality in looks!!!
Another segment of chicas that has not been mentioned and is often overlooked is the independents who do not work in any "place" but rather work by appointment only. Many of these, especially those who advertise on Graigslist tend to be "fake and/or ripoffs. BUT there are also many who are among the very best in terms of looks and service. Their prices can vary form little more than in a MP to much more than in the REY.
Two of my all time favorites (both for over 10 years) kind of fit everything I have talked about here. Both started out very young (the day they turned 18) in MPs, both moved to the REY and/or SL, and now both work solely by appointment with long time regulars or referrals. Both are very dedicated to pleasing and giving good service, both love what they do, both are willing to work as hard as necessary, and both are totally the porn star experience!!

What I am saying is: Go to several places, check out the facilities (in the MPs) and the chicas, TALK TO THE CHICAS before choosing one, and yes, YOU CAN talk to the MP chias (many Gringos seem to think you can't), make absolutely sure she will be willing to do the things you want and get a firm price for any extras. And with independents NEVER, NEVER EVER PAY FIRST! In MPs you pay first!! When you find the chica you like and want, grab her right then because all to often when you return (no matter where you find her) she will not be there!! OH, and when here meet up with other guys and ask about their recommendations!!!! Everyone has different tastes and desires, but generally if an experienced monger says a certain chica is really good, she probably is!![/quote]
