I'm not a newbie, made my virgin trip July 2013 and can't wait to get back. Me and my two wings are taking a buddy who needs a vacation bad. Anyway, how's the scene for Presidents Day? We liked the convenience of the Del Rey so will probably stay their again but will test a few other spots. I just want to make sure it's not typically dead of light on talent. I want my buddies first trip to be great as my first. Thanks for your help.

Other countries don't much celebrate US holidays (they have 3 other times during a year that things get weak). That said, US holidays are a good excuse for Our Crowd to come down so make those reservations in advance--plenty of Chicas and good times to be had 'cuz they know to expect a flood of biz prospects during those times. Y'alls downtime will be well-socialized as well--SL bar and the other venues.

February is in the Costa Rica high season. It is also known as the non-rainy season. It is the equivalent of our summertime. The prices at the resort and beach hotels are at their highest also. As for chicas, no problem. With all the sunshine you and your good buddies will discover most of the them get to wear all of their skimpiest and sexiest clothes.
enjoy

Agree 100%

I would rethink your choice of hotels - think Sportsmans, La Amestad, Zona II, Scores - bettter choices IMO than the DelRey - but that's high season - so book soon!

Oh....do yourself a favor and contact Esposo and set up a "tour" - it will tell you things you would need to spend many trips discovering.

Stay at the right hotel and take a tour from someone with a clue are the most important things I can suggest to someone new to Costa Rica.

If you don't encounter any delays, you should be just fine arriving at 2 with a couple of hours to spare.

On TV, US fans will see the Super Bowl XLIX in Arizona play out live nationwide beginning at 6 pm ET on NBC television, with kickoff time set for 6:30 pm ET.

On the Pacific Coast, that's 3:30 pm; Mountain time 4:30 pm; and 5:30 pm Central.

Costa Rica is on Central Standard Time (all year).

The ride from the airport into the gulch should be about 30-40 minutes or less on a Sunday.
