There is no need to WiFi at Amistad: Use a CAT5 cable to connect and avoid WiFi issues. Travel with your own CAT5 cable, but Amistad desk will have a set most generally if other people aren't using them. Heck, one trip, MATT, the owner, gave me his to use.
However, when the internet is down in that section of the Barrio.....don't matter whether it's WiFi or hard wire.....it's down.
Still, just ask Carlos at the front desk if he has an extra CAT5 cable and if he do, it is yours. Not to be hating, but you're just being silly not to travel with your own 3meter long CAT5 cable.

Not bad advise and I generally have one with me if I bring my laptop, along with security cable as my "work" laptop is too big to fit into 90% of hotel safes. But when I am travelling light with just my tablet that just doesn't work for me.
Not knocking Amistad as I am becoming a regular there, but anywhere I stay if they say they have wi-fi I expect to receive what is advertised. If the internet provider is down, that's another matter. Was I irritated that the wi-fi was down, yes. Was I irritated that the house computer for guest use was inoperable during my stay, yes. Was I irritated that I had to walk to the SL in a downpour to have internet access, yes. However, I realize shit happens and sometimes it happens all at once, so you go with the flow.
I did learn that their wi-fi problems were of a human nature, a desk clerk who didn't know how or didn't care to reset a modem. But that appears to have been rectified as I understand she is no longer employed there.
