If you want to stay in the gulch, try the Inca Real, Hemingway or Vesuvio. They cater to civilians but are chica-friendly(?) and provide CRT discount. Do a search on Expedia or other search engine. Check the CRT discount page.

Hotel Europa, Calle Central, betw. Ave 3 y Ave 5. In the gulch. Has Pool.

Hotel el Sol, Calle 23 y Route 108/218, Comercial Centro Guadalupe, 2248-4660, 2248-4676. Nice, modern, basic rooms, nice ceramic baños - cheap - short taxi ride from the gulch.

Lung Mun Chinese Restaurant, Ave 1, betw. Calle 5 y Calle 7, 1-1/2 blocks from HDR, 2222-9256, 2233-4732, They have 6 small apartments above the restaurant that are weekly or monthly rentals ($200 per week). If they have vacancies, they will rent for a few days. Ask for the Chinese owners Lucia (no English, yes Spanish) or Santiago (yes English, Yes Spanish).
