Wow once again thank you all for your incredible insights and help.
Brother Orange, once again your dedication and obvious desire to serve is awesome. I will look into the flights for sure, I just thought it would be cool to drive and see some of the country as well. But with Brother Orange, Lennydo and GoodDayJohn all recommending against it, maybe I am a little ambitious for my own good.
100% agree with BashfulDwarf, paying for a "guest fee" seems crazy. But at least one time I feel I need to experience it. It being the HDR based on all my reading. I consider the fee a cost of admission to the club.
3 days and counting and my boots will be on the ground ready for action. Can't wait!
Thanks again for all your insights. I will continue to study and read all the posts and begin my studies for a "Grand Education!"
As a relative newbie, i will chime in. I would not have known what a shark was even after my first trip, to be honest, I was in a daze, even in the comforting arms of the SL on a Thursday night. If I had stayed at HDR first night, I would have been lost. Having said that, I want the best experience for my money and although the temptation is there to pick the hottest one, they may not be the best. Think about what you want, (now) and do ask them what they provide, how long, and how much. I was fortunate and have met several that I have been very happy with.
Don't know if you have visited "pros" back home, but there in SJ, they do not (usually) clock watch. They will usually stick with you for the duration, (at least one pop) without trying to upsell yoi.
What a shark will do, is smile, she can tell you are a newbie because your eyes are wide with amazement) offer you the world, ask for payment up front, and leave when she wants, I learned that here, as you did from reading the newbie reports, (tip,of the hat to Orange, Bashful, and BB 57)
The HDR will surely be a wild ride, and one for the storybooks, but for my money, too many choices, too soon, while you are trying to shake off a pretty one that you just aren't sure of, there are 10 more eying you up and trying to pull you away. Learn to say firmly no thanks, and walk away to find the one you want. I have pulled only 3 from HDR, one single, and a dupla on a Saturday afternoon.the single was last trip,a few weeks ago and She was not up to what I had found elsewhere, that is not to,say they weren't there, frankly Imwas spent and didn't care and enjoyed her company and figured a BJ was A Bj
pM me if you need a dependable transport from airport.,about $30 and speaks decent English. He will get you where you need to be.
Have a blast, just plan ahead, you will have memories for years.
No exaggeration here, I have seen it and it is all true. You certainly don't need a good pick up line. Lol
