On my upcoming visit this January I've rented a small villa in the Orosi Valley area by Cartago. In a very quiet, natural and peaceful surrounding so I can just plain old relax. I'll will have a car rental with me. Question is: if I decide to have some "fun" for an evening are there any locations nearby where I might get lucky? Any advice appreciated. Thx.

umm no, I like that area, but no mucho chicas unless you got lucky at the mercado, But several of the Gulch chicas live in Cartago so with research you might find one or two that can find you or are willing to go there. Take them to the suspension bridge for lunch, small soda on the North side of the yellow bridge.

There are 3-4 MPs in Cartago now and the night club on the north side of town going up the volcano!!. I have not been to any of them in several years but you can get some info about them on the Foro! One is very close to the Bus station and there use to be 2-3 bars with working chicas in the same area but I am not sure they are still there. As mentioned, there are several chicas from Cartago who work in SJ. But they do for a reason--they do not want their neighbors knowing what they do so meeting one for a date in Cartago might be iffy!!!

By the way, I have not been to the club I mentioned in 4-5 years. It does have chicas working but the word among the Ticos is it has become a rather dangerous place!!

MANY chicas in the Del Rey come from Cartago.

NOTHING in Cartago. Very low end nightclubs filled with 3's and 4's. You will need to head back in to SJO for any action.
