Just completed a successful mongering trip to San Jose. I am not sure if any of you have had the pleasure of meeting Oscar. He speaks excellent English and can get you from point A to B, C, D, etc. in Costa Rica. He is a former professional tour guide now drives a tour van. But the most interesting is that he knows some of the girls who will not go to Del Rey or any other hot spots. He introduced me to a 21 yo hottie named Maria Jose who is an independent. She will come to your hotel...but just not to Del Rey. Oscar also knows a private house that has 5-6 girls you can pick and choose from. Give him a try.

It is a very NOT COOL thing to post contact info for CR residents, with or without their approval. Offer it in PM if you recognize the handle, but not on public display. We could get this guy into trouble. Please redact the specifics.

This bit about Oscar is now on this Board--forever--and stated he could "get girls" not just give face-to-face info about certain ones. As the Bro said--very not cool--it exposes that guy to real legal risk. "Delete" of that and hard info is an excellent option, with "He can help you meet Chicas" and PMs of particulars to interested parties being posted. This isn't paranoia--it's a reasonable fear.

Yes bigbob, it is very different in some respects--I NEVER charged for info nor for showing guys around!! and yet they STILL DID come looking for me once!! One of the main reasons I stopped doing the walking tours! Granted the way we Gringos get treated concerning this and the way Ticos get treated is somewhat different but "profiting in any way from prostitution " is illegal in Costa Rica. This is the reason MPs all have "pension" licenses - short time (hourly) hotels. Technically the chicas do not work for the hotel, they collect the money from the guy and they pay the "pension" for 1 hour of use of a room!!!! Legally the "pension" is never suppose to have the chicas part of the money though some (especially some Gringo owned places) have been known to take all the money and at the end of the day "pay" the chica--very illegal!!!!

As far as discussing the various MPs or the chicas here on CRT, no one is profiting from the chica's work as a prostitute, therefore no law is broken. Recommending a chica for a fee, presenting a chica for a fee, or even taking guys to, and showing them the various MPs, and introducing them to the chicas in the MPs for a fee is illegal in CR.

And, YES, once again I will repeat: The Costa Rician authorities DO read CRT!!!!! As do many of the chicas!!!!! You would not believe how many times I have been told by chicas exactly what I had written about them!!!! And a Tico friend who just happens to be a member of the Fuerza (state police) has told me things that were on here!!!

I have always said from day one that CRT should be paid membership only. Of course anyone with the membership fee could still get access, but it would make it more difficult.

Bob I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say . The Prostitute CAN profit from her work, but anyone else making a profit off of the puta's work is in violation of the law here. In my statement you quoted I was referring to guys on CRT posting about the chicas and the different places where those chicas work. As for as I know no one on CRT is profiting from posting info about the chicas!!!

I would also hazard to say that if a local seems to be making a business off of the puta 'industry', then they are the ones the cops will go after.

It's not the one-off vet showing a newbie around, and receiving a free meal (or session) that the cops are interested in. And again, it is the posting of contact information within a context of a (presumed) illegal activity that I took issue with: Not what he is doing.

Traveling to meet chicas of age for p4p is always legal and none of ICE,s business,only time it is illegal if you are after und***ge,so i don,t understand the paranoia,also prostitution between consenting adults is legal in CR,in parts of USA too(Neveda)However when i called one(Sandi,s outside of Las Vegas)to ask for prices,lady on phone did say she cannot discuss that on phone because it is considered soliciting don,t understand what she meant.

Vig, Do you understand being a prostitute and selling your body for sex and doing so of your own free will, and you are 18 or over This is legal here in Costa Rica! and is not what is being discussed.

What is being discussed is PIMPING, TRAFFICING or in any way making a profit from providing a prostitute or contact info for her (helping in any way to set up a date and receiving conpensation for doing so). This law is sometimes very loosely defined and enforced here, as in MPs are walking a very thin line. And, as has been stated, they are not going to arrest a guy who takes a friend to a MP and introduces the friend to a prostitute and later the friend buys the guy lunch. What they will get you for (or at least try) is doing it on a regular basis with a lot of guys and charging a fee. In my case I never charged just for this reason, but they still tried to get me.

The concern here is for Oscar who a lot of us know and who does "walk a very thin line" to say the least, and the OP posting his contact info here along with his name (not a CRT handle which does give us members a degree of anonymity). Many (rightfully so) feel this should not be posted here on a "very" public board because it could possible get Oscar in trouble with the law here.

When I first read this post I though Oscar could get into trouble . I know Oscar and I don`t think he made any money from this other than maybe a taxi fare. So what I think is Admin should just delete this whole thread and let life go on.
