Thanks... but the letters are so small, I can't read 'em. How do you enlarge this thing?

Also, nothing seems to be clickable with the pop up windows anymore.

No comprendo.

So much for keeping the clickable map as a VIP benefit. I've fixed Oasis. You might also try clicking on the KFC immediately below it for an amusing picture. The on-line map is loaded with little chestnuts such as that.

As for whether or not to have non-monger stuff or fast food joints, I think as long as there is space for it and it does not clutter the map up too much why not include. Sure regular tourist maps cover the regular tourist attractions, but why not have it all in one sheet for you to carry. Its not like there are THAT many museums, theatres etc. that are worth noting anyway. As for fast food, I don't consider the "fast food" one can get at your typical soda (rice beans and chicken) to be that adventurous and so do not have much use for any MacDonalds or KFC, but if others find that useful why not throw a FEW of the more strategically located ones in. I already pointed out in the other thread the importance of the Paseo Colon KFC as a landmark if nothing else.

The one major potential drawback would be that the map become too busy. One possible solution would be to have a slightly more stripped down version to print and a seperate more fully detailed version for on-line. As you can see, at the level of resolution that GR has made his base map it comes out quite large on the screen such that an incredible level of detail and info could be filled in and easily read on line. Users could then modify their print maps with additional information from the on-line map tailored to their individual needs.

Yet another avenue would be to extend the map to become a legal-sized version. the simplest solution would be to just add space at the bottom. That would definitely allow the San Pedro section to be added in. Another possibility that unfortunately would necessitate major revisions on the part of GR (as well as major link remapping on my part) would be to change the map to a landscape orientation. That would be more in line with the way the map I was working on was originally structured.

I think the map is great. But yes... if it were my site, I would recommend moving the thread to the VIP section and password protecting it for Members Only.

Just my .02 colones.

Prolijo and GetRythym,

And to all those who helped you...

LUMP WOULD BE SO PROUD!

Your map is EASILY the single most valuable link or piece of information on this entire board.

Last time I was down I showed your map to a local Tico I met at the Europa show. He was QUITE impressed.

You doth rock! Thank you so much.

Admins, this map should be a prominent, main link from the homepage, IMHO, maybe for VIP members only.
