The JetBlue call center told me tonight that they will end their GREAT policy of giving a cash credit for future travel if the fare at booking time is lowered at any time before the departure.. . . . . . unless you are now willing to pay a "fare change fee" of $75. The policy change will not apply to existing reservations made before 8/14/14.

I was never afraid to book far in advance with JetBlue because I knew that I could get a credit if the fare was later lowered. NO MORE !!!!!!!

The agent told me that they tried this change in policy a few years ago, but there was so much howling by customers and employees, that the policy change was never implemented.

So - - - - - howl now if you like to rely on a very beneficial aspect of using JetBlue. Maybe they'll back-off.

They've actually been doing this for a few months already. I got hit with the change fee in May.

Maybe Bill Gates will give you a lift in his new rental canoe: http://www.superyachtfan.com/bill_gates.html
Really? In this era of rapidly consolidating biz enterprises, profit squeezes and untrammeled CEO greed, this comes as a surprise?

Hello RAC,

Thank you for contacting JetBlue Airways regarding our fares.

Beginning today we will be happy to honor a lower fare at no charge if you find that it has
decreased within 14 days or less from the date the ticket was ISSUED. Otherwise, we can honor a
lower fare for $75 per ticket/person.

Any remaining difference in fare after the $75 fee is assessed will be issued to the Customer as a
Travel Bank credit good for one year from the date of issue.

We sincerely regret any disappointment you may feel. This was a business decision we made as a
company, so that we may continue to provide all of our other offerings our Customers have come to
expect with JetBlue.

We value you as a JetBlue customer and appreciate your continued support.

Kind Regards,

Jenny
