Welcome aboard, L.Gets. It's all about relaxing. Tips abound on the message board. 8)

absolutely right S1. But I still remember my first trip to CR (which was also my first monger trip ever). I could barely sleep the night before, and was so nervous upon arrival that I was surprised Immigration didn't classify me as a druggy going through withdrawal...

Hey amigo, maybe they did notice, just did not say anything, but put you on a "watch" list and that is the reason for your many "encounters" with authorities here!!   :P

L.Gets: Read, read, read !!! read as much as you can before your trip; if you don't know some, try to learn at least a few common Spanish words and phrases; and come prepared to have a good time, but do not try to over plan your visit-just let it happen as it happens!!!

Welcome to the board, first thing I noticed was you are a paying member of CRT. You get full access to message board, limitless information abounds. Spend some time in the various forums, especially the newbies guide and take a look at the map Bang Bang and Bashfull put together to get a feel for the place. In addition you are eligible for many discounts which may pay for itself on your first trip.
Get familiar with the search function, it will save you a lot of time.

Spend some time reading the board and begin to differentiate the loud mouth liars from the real guys. It's your first sortie.....some things are bound to not be perfect. Big deal. We learn from those my brother.

Again, Do Your Thing: If it feels right, do it. The message board is just a jump off place.

Reading the message board will get you all hot and bothered in a good way. Pace yourself. It's your first trip. Many more can follow if this one moves forward properly. Ask for data about where to stay.....everybody has a viewpoint. Still, even those remarks on the message board now. Ground Zero is where YOU want it to be. YOU run the show....not the chicas; not the hotels; not nobody but you.

As the famous Joe Dirt noted in the movie of the same title "Life is a garden. Dig it."

be cool man.....you'll do just fine. 8)

Announce when you're coming, where you are staying, there's almost ALWAYS some member or members here who will hook up with you, many experienced guys who can show you the ropes, Sportsman's Lodge and Scores, Zona2 and HDR are good meet up places, all within a few blocks of each other... :D :D :D 8) 8) 8)

The best single thing you can do is read Bro Orange's guide--one of those pieces you'll come back to, even as a seasoned CR guy: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16357 and, yes, our interactive map is outstanding. Welcome aboard and enjoy all the rides.
