How can a visitor, who is not staying at Cocal, get to check out the talent? Is there a restaurent or bar near pool where the action is and one can order a drink or two while doing some eye candy shopping?
Can anyone please give me a little rundown of how it works?
Thanks in advance

Girls congregate around the Cocal pool. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises as well and a few tables and chairs. Everyone is allowed into that area so a crowd develops around the pool/bar. All the girls you see there are working (just don't hit on the waitresses/maids, they frown on that). Food and drinks are available for purchase but they will not allow you to bring in outside food or drink.

If you join CRT as a VIP member, I've posted some photos of the Cocal and the pool area in the VIP section. Not only that, when you do come down, your membership will save you a ton of money on hotels, food and transportation.

I think you are assuming that if you are not staying at Cocal, you cannot enter the pool area. Unless it has changed, even if you are staying somewhere else, you can come into the pool area at Cocal and talk to and pick up the chicas and take thme back to YOUR hotel. This is not the Medellin Mansion which prohibits guests of other hotels/apts to come onto their premises.

Ghan, I take clients to Jaco all the time and we stop by the Cocal even if you are not staying there. The Cocal is usually booked on the weekends so it is hard to get a room there anyway, therefor you have to find an alternative. On Friday we stopped by at 2:00 p.m. and the guards always let me in without questions. Just tell them that you are having lunch or want to check out the casino. No problems will be had. There was believe it of not about 50 ladies on Friday hanging around the bar/pool area at 2:00 p.m. A lot of them was watching the Colombia vs Brazil World Cup Soccer game. We left at about 4:00 p.m. and headed to the beatle bar. Nothing there. So, go on down and come on in. Your eyeballs are sure to roll.

From another hotel you just walk in no questions are asked – same as walking into any bar off the street. Only difference not staying there is you can’t run a tab on your room. I always walked from my hotel to Cocal but chicas will want to take taxi back to your hotel. I understand not wanting to walk four blocks in high heels. Taxis are cheap. Just make sure your hotel is guest friendly.

Thanks a lot for the excellent responses. I have a fairly good idea now of what to expect.

I have one last question for those who have been there lately - Is it worthwhile going there on slow days such as Wed. evening/night? Wondering what would be number of chicas available? :?:

Wednesday is NOT a slow day...that is the night things really pick up. Sun-Tue are the slow nights. My buddy was there Sunday to Sunday and said although there were fewer girls on Sun-Tue, there were less guys as well so ratio was still well in our favor. Said he had no problem finding girls every night he was there. From what I have seen in the last few weeks, I'd estimate there is around 75 total in and out on Wednesday nights with Thursday thru Saturday bringing in perhaps 150. Nice thing about Jaco is perhaps 80% of the girls are hot unlike San Jose where perhaps 20% are hot.

The bar you are talking about is the Backyard Bar in Playa Hermosa. Wednesday is indeed ladies night there and a lot of both working and non-working do show up. Been a couple of months since I went by there on a Wednesday but the time I did, it was PACKED. Even had a suds machine so everyone was covered in soapy bubbles.

Wednesdays are great as PVT and CM said. I just picked up 2 guys today and they tell me that Sunday night was as good as Saturday night, believe it or not. It's not me saying it. I can tell you that today at n12 noon there was about 4 ladies there so Monday and Tuesday might be slow. I will let you know tomorrow.

This was because Saturday was DEAD (in comparison to most Saturday nights) thanks to the Costa Rica soccer game. Talked to many girls on Thursday and Friday who weren't going to work Saturday because they wanted to watch the game with family/friends. Normally, there is a LARGE difference between Saturday and Sunday nights at Cocal.
