I will be moving into a furnished apartment for six months in San Jose.
What should I pack in my bags that I will need in SJ that I may not be able to get there, or is very expensive?
Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Sell the house. Sell the car. Sell the K*ds. Find another job/option. Forget it.

I find that the regulars are smaller than (or do not stretch as well as) regular latex ones.

Sheets and towels. The quality of these items is very low in SJ and prices are high. Also pick up a George Forman small grill.

Razor blades, deodorant, shaving cream, all much cheaper in USA.

The suggestion for towels and sheets is super accurate. I just ordered a bulk quantity from Amazon and probably saved several hundreds of dollars. Bring down your laptop, iphone and tablet. Those are pricey here too. I also recommend buying a nice travel sized tool kit. Tools here are ridiculous. Also, pack nice clothes and plenty of them. Clothes, electronics, luxury items, tools are all highly priced due to huge luxury taxes.

Finally, do me a favor a pack some common sense and class.

Gillette ships to CR (and probably all of L. America) 2nd quality razor blades that last just a couple days. And they ain't cheap when bought here either. I get 30 days use out of Mach 3's from the U.S.
