Not trying to understand anyone's mind here. Trying to understand the dynamics of negotiation. Sure, I can just wait 20 years of personal experimentation and then write a book on my findings, but I was hoping to tap into the combined centuries of experience hosted here on CRT.

No one is looking for definitive answers here. I am curious about what creates the asking price (done!), what creates the floor (done!), and what limits are in place during a negotiation (and their genesis). Clearly these are different for different chicas. And it is that *difference* that I am interested in understanding.

You guys seem to think there is no logical pattern to a working girl's mind, and in fact, they as a group are so unknowable that professional psychologists are baffled. In actuality there are several studies on the topic that are available to anyone interested. There are seminars in the Social Services industry on the best methods for 'helping' prostitutes (My cousin's wife works in the rehabilitation services for street girls in the US). So suggesting that the simple questions I am posing are unknowable, is to dismiss them too easily.

As for using equations ... Since I have an MA in Maths, I find quantum probability theory as childs-play in relation to understanding why da bitch won't suck mister willy for only $10 bucks! There's an answer to this mystery, and by-Gawd I'm gunna find it out!

I will relate several situations that occurred to me to illustrate anything can happen at anytime. The only common factor was I didn't want anything when asked.

1) I had horrible Wi-Fi signal in my room and had a bunch of emails to do. I went into the bar of the SL and sat on the couch at 11pm working away. Since they close at 12am, a girl came and sat next to me to see if I wanted to session. I politely told her "no" and continued working. The bar closed and she was down to $50, by 12:15-12:30 she was down to $20. At $20 I figured I could have some fun, despite not being in the mood.

2) The first time I checked-in at SL - ever -in early afternoon, I avoided eye contact and some girl flashed me her breasts to made sure I looked and made a "6" with her fingers.

3) One girl came up to me while I was eating and said," most girls charge $100, but if you take me now I will only charge $80)

If you are in a non-crowded bar, during off hours, with little desire, you can bargin easier.

People, both men and women, are like snowflakes...there are no two absolutely alike.

Trying to get into another persons thoughts is impossible. Even if they told you, it would not be a truth, just their ego wanting to say something to make you believe it about that person.

I have seen many walk out of SL without lowering their price as such. But your story beggars the question as to how the session was, and if she seemed to want it over quickly, and all that stuff.

Do you think your play of no interest got you the $20, or do you think that if you were interested and trying to talk her down to it would also have worked? Think about it: she dropped the rate to get you interested ... if you were already there she might not have gone that low.

I think that effective mongering requires the knowledge into questions of strategy such as this. You may not have been 'planning' this strategy, but may have wandered into something that will work in certain situations.

Of course, it could have been just plain ol' dumb luck!

No, she didn't rush through the session. But, I was out of ammo and out of steam, so I released her after a vigorous workout.

When she was talking to me, I politely answered, made jokes, etc. but kept on working.
