I stayed there two summers ago for a few days. The room was basic, but clean. There is a small pool. There is a restaurant/bar. There was always a crowd and they had some nice BBQ specials when I was there. I was expecting some working girls to be hanging out there, but don't recall seeing anyone. It's on the far end of Jaco. It is on the beach. You could walk to the Beatle Bar without much problem, although at night I took a cab. From a P4P perspective, I didn't find Jaco that great (of course, that's when the primary option was the Beatle Bar, where the prices were high and the service not that great...for the indies, that is). I ended up leaving a day early and going back to SJO.

PS - I should note that I scheduled the trip to Jaco planning to take a chica I knew from SJO with me. The chica was a no-show, so I went alone. Should have known to have just stayed in SJO. I think my trip would have been much more fun if I had a chica with me.

Clarita's has definitely changed in the last two years...very little P4P action anymore. Being on the far north end of the beach, the locals take it over on the weekend. Every time I've been by there in the last six months it has been basically empty. Now granted, that was mostly in the daytime. When the new Croc Resort opens, it may bring a resurgence.

Stopped in Claritas on a Sat afternoon in mid Jan. and had lunch a few beers. there was nothing going on and we were there till almost 7. we were staying at the Cocal and didn't realize how long of a walk it was, so we took a cab back and just stayed there the rest of the 4 day trip. I like Jaco in general and that particular day we went Zip lining and has a blast. the driver dropped us off at Claritas because I heard there was action there.
