awesome awesome advice so far fellas.

Really leaning towards staying at Zona2, just waiting on response via PM from the big boss there.

SL seems way to active (can't believe someone would ever complain about that). We're not looking to exactly be drowning in the sexual festivities but do want a good experience. Still stressing over where to stay, if I could find somewhere that had a legit two individual bathrooms and bedrooms style deal it would be awesome.

Thanks to all those who have been PM'ing me, I do mean to respond to all of you, work is just hectic...trying to set everything up so I don't have to be bothered whatsoever while I am in Costa Rica.

At Zona 2 you can bring girls back from other places and still no chica fee if you are staying there, correct?

SL is a great place to stay, especially for first-timers. It is quiet at night and especially depending on the room. The chicas won't bother you unless you want them too. I like the bar, both the well lit front and the darker, cozier back bar depending on my mood. I always see doable chicas there, at least for my tastes.

Yes as to your last question

Its tempting, I know - but plan to "go with the flow" a little - don't try to overplan (it never works, anyway :) ) But do nail down a hotel.

As to a previous question you had - negociate everything - and - with the exception of a massage parlor, don't pay in advance. Show her the money if you have to, but pay later.

Tell he what your expectations are - regardless of the place - she's heard it before - up to you if you tell her you are a virgin - Human nature being what it is, I suspect some will care and some girls will not.

If you are going to stay at Zona2, definitely get a VIP membership. You save $40 a night, and you can pick up the card at Zona2. Another option for an inexpensive hotel is the Castillo. It is chica friendly. The standard rooms are a little aged, but the deluxe rooms are pretty good. I've never found a chica that had a problem going there. It is almost in the center of all the popular places.

It's the hotel that doesn't get talked about much but it is a good choice. Nice Back bar overlooking the Zoo entrance. Funky is not the same as seedy. Some interesting "independent businessmen" can be met there... As a desperation play, there's the Hemingway right down the street. Not too much talk about them here either but I believe they are discounting Sponsors. Worth a look if only as the out-pitch "dirty" place. As a previous Bro said though--do research the ST "love Motels"--maybe you just don't want to bring that Chica anywhere you reside but she's so hot...and you're feeling a bit nasty (not hurtful, just flat nasty).

Does anyone know if the rooms at the Mona Lisa that have 2 beds are 2 queen size beds or 2 full size beds? Thanks!

Just tell her where you want to go in the taxi. It's VERY likely that she'll agree to go to the ML with you.

She may hit you up for taxi fare ($2-$3) back to the Rey when you're done. It's up to you weather or not to pay her extra for the return taxi ride on top of what you otherwise negotiate to pay her for her services

Anyways thanks to yall I got everything down pack, just last thing to figure out is cell phone. I have an Iphone 5 that isn't unlocked (not sure you can unlock ios7 iphone5?) I figure I can use skype on wifi at the hotel to contact my work and text message thru whatsapp....however if i'm walking on the streets and need to call work what do you guys suggest is the easiest/cost effective way to handle this?

Renuzit: Before you leave the states, turn your cel data to "off"if you have verizon. You can roam there voice and data, but it gets expensive real quick, like >$500.00 in less than 24hrs quick. Wifi at the hotel is fine. I recommend La Amistad.

most of the hotels have free calls to the states if you can plan your calls

First of all, I wouldn't recommend walking on the street and pulling out an iPhone 5/5s/5c and start making calls. Especially at night. I'm not saying there are armed robbers on every corner and you'll get killed over an iPhone - but really you should leave the expensive smart phone in your room safe and get yourself a cheap UNLOCKED 3g / 4g world (GSM) phone for walk-around purposes. You're not going to impress anyone with it but who cares? The chicas won't care if you pull out an iPhone or an old BB Bold.

Now, your comm options to the US are varied and also depend on which carrier you use.

If you're on Tmobile and have one of the new Simple Choice Plans, you're in luck. I use this option with my SJO phone (an old Samsung Galaxy Nexus) when I absolutely need to be in touch while out and about.

If you aren't, then your options get more complicated:

1) Either set phone to Airplane mode or at least turn your phone's "Data services while roaming" option to avoid gigantic roaming charges (as a previous poster said, $500 for a day's use is not uncommon). With the data services turned off you'll still be able to get/make calls and SMS, but at international roaming rates (another arm + leg);

2) Once phone is in airplane mode, turn Wifi (and only Wifi) back on, then use Skype or Viber to make/receive calls whenever you're on a wifi network;

3) If you don't care if your US contacts receive calls from a Costa Rican number and you have an unlocked phone, buy a Kolbi prepaid SIM card at the airport when you arrive, charge it up with 10k colones, pop it in your phone, and then tell your US contacts to call you at the CR number. You'll also be able to call the US, but international calls on Kolbi prepaid eat up your available balance quickly.

There are many other ways to skin this particular cat, but these are three you can try.
