kenbrown,
You have run up against the 'CRT Machine'.
The CRT Machine is a small group of LoudMouthKnowItAlls whose first reaction to anything not within their very narrowly defined parameters of 'that which we can tolerate hearing about here' is to kill the messenger, then stomp on the message relentlessly.
Have you noticed that you've received very little in the way of "wow, this is interesting. never heard of it but I want to try it" type comments? You likely wont. As for me, I want to try it, even though I don't like cologne much at all, but a couple of 'dots' on me would be okay.
I am growing to really hate CRT because the goddamned loud mouths rush into unknown territory seeking only to distract and destroy. Most decent threads with anything useful run the risk of being turned into Scuba1 namecalling/berating (with his "you don't understand my humor" alibi), Jazzbo nonsensical youtube links, and a bunch of damn wannabe's trying to sound macho with humorous non-responsive posts. And I've only mentioned a handful of the Usual Suspects we have all come to know and, cough, love.
(posted only in humor guys...hope you get MY sense of humor...

)
I admire your 'pluck'. Hang in there....it only gets worse.
Are there ANY swinging dick out here in CRT land who simply wish to say that this is something new to them, they find it fascinating, would like to learn more, and maybe give it a try and report back???
Is there EVER ANYONE in ANY GODDAMNED POST about something that *might* enhance your sexual enjoyment who is brave enough to go against all the macho bullshit railing and speak up in support of this "new thing we must now kill"????
I expect outrage at my post. Have at it Ch*ldren, I'm done with this thread.
The only reason I'm responding is you happened to mention me by name. But no "outrage" on my end; in fact what this board needs is more back and forth between members.
In fact while I believe you are entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to your own set of facts.
On a message board its pretty simple - someone makes a post, or starts a thread, and others comment on it. That's what we do around here. Anything posted is fair game for others to comment.
There is no assurance that what someone posts will be validated - believe in Santa, the Easter Bunny, the earth is flat, the US never landed on the moon....whatever, but don't expect me to support your hypothesis if I do not. Its not being negative if you disagree - its simple his opinion, and yours - not a difficult concept - neither one wins over the other. Mine is just based on more experience in CR.
As to this particular thread - I simply expressed my opinion:
I am not a fan of fragrances on men or women - never have been
I think that while appearences play a role, and even a working girl could be more attracted to you based on the scent you are wearing, being scrubbed and clean is more important - but IMO - its still all about the money
Did the thread go longer than expected - yes - was I in any way nasty to Ken, the OP - I certainly don't think so, and from his responses I don't think he did.
I honestly hate negative people - and while I will not validate something I think is dumb, or disagree with - remember - I have as much right to an opinion as anyone else - I think my posts are some of the sharpest, funniest, posts on CRT.
And while you may not like the writing style, you can't argue that the posts come from a lot of CR experience (I never claim to "know it all" - just more than most due to 40+ trips over 15 years). Your problem could be you don't have a "NY Sense of Humor" <if you don't know what I'm referring to, that proves it> or take everything literally.
You also ignore the majority of posts where I'm happy to offer info based on my experiences.
Am I amazed at the cluelessness of some, especially new posters - yes - I admit it - at my most new, I don't think I was ever that dumb.
The difference between me and others is I don't wanna remain stupid - 6 years ago I contactedBbangbang57 for an "on the ground" orientation, and we developed a friendship form there. IMO he is the most tied in to the "scene" in San Jose and a great guide and person.
I want to stay on topic - while I think your post was mean spirited and nasty, you can post what you wish, and its not gonna effect me at all - I just think you should focus on the whole picture.
