a "taxi" to Jaco is going to run you a $100 or more. Thats one way. So $200 round trip, I would look for a cheaper option and save that money for a couple extra sessions. Of course, you might have a bigger budget than I do :( so it might not matter to ya.
If you stay in SJ first, definitely look into the La Amistad transfer to Jaco. Or as mentioned by others, stay there, its a great hotel and the all inclusive is a hard deal to beat.

Pura Vida Transport can take ya as well, not sure what he charges.

The local bus aint bad and its 5 bucks give or take, the are some other options as well.

Dont forget you will need to pay an exit tax on departure so save a little coin for that($28.??), can't remember if they take a card for that or not. I payed cash last time.
I seem to remember reading that you can pay for your exit tax at SL?? could be wrong, not sure about that.

I'd say your option #2 is your best. Weekends in Jaco seem a lot better (IMHO, YMMV etc..) to me than San Jose.

Matt has a great deal going...the wife and I ate there on Sunday. Surf and Turf for $11....mmmmm.

$100 to/from the airport or $125 to/from downtown San Jose (one way)

The exit tax is $29 now and it can be paid at SL (if the system is working)

Chilly, definitely option 2. Better to wake up Saturday morning, have a morning date pre-arranged, and go to the airport with a smile on your face.

Thanks so much guys!! Miamiheller thanks a lot for the awesome report on the Cocal!! Bashful dwarf, thanks as always!! Your mega trip report was legendary!! Super impressive and informative!!

I am definitely going with option 2 and go to Jacob directly from the airport on Friday and make a reservation at the Cocal! I'll also PM Pura vida transport and make my reservations to/from sjo to Jaco!

Thanks again guys!!

I'm new to the CRT board and a lot of internet stuff in general, but this report is an excellent summation of life at Cocal, even if it is almost one year old. I don't necessarily agree with every single detail in it (everyone has their own point-of-view, after all) , but it's pretty much on the money.

Chica quality, as far as physical looks go, is and has been extremely high at Cocal for quite some time now, and includes quite a few girls who don't even show their faces in San Jose any longer. Quality of performance -- well, that's another story altogether, although some of the girls are wonderful.

As the saying goes, "Money talks and bullshit walks." Well, that's been the driving force behind Cocal's run, going on 2 years now. The girls go towards the money, and when they get to where they are going, they expect it. At this time of year -- right now, in March/April of 2014 -- there is no shortage of big-money-spenders in and near Jaco, and they all know about Cocal. If you are in San Jose during this time, it is very likely that you'll never see that all-star that you remember from the Del Rey or Sportsmens last year or 3 months ago. Most likely she has not been in either of those places for at least one month. At this time of year, there are quite a few who shack up with sugar-daddies for weeks at a time.

However, there are plenty of opportunities with beautiful, wonderful girls who are in Jaco during high-season, but don't quite make the cut with the Los Suenos millionaires. There might be 150 girls at Cocal on Saturday night -- they are not all going home with a big spender, or anyone at all, for that matter.
