Can't comment on your wants and needs but when I have something to add or, more especially if I'm being questioned or attacked, I will post. I may occasionally compliment a Bro on a post, but never just of the "You go, guy!" persuasion. End of story, Morning Glory.

That may be useful information. Seems that is not what Jazzbo is into.

Something is screwy with the exchange rates--the best I could find online at XE.com and CoinMill.com (2 usually reliable sources) is about 506-507 (this was at midnight Sunday 2 March). Don't doubt you're getting those better rates but WTF?

I changed all the dollars I had on Friday at BAC at 540 to a dollar.

Do a search on Google for bccr.fi,cr , the first thing to show should be Banco Central de Costa Rica. Below this will be about 10 different sub-headings. Click on "Tipo de cambio anunciado en......". This will open a list of most of the major financial institutions here with their current buy and sell rates, the margin of separation between the two, and the last time it was updated. This has been posted several times before by ID, me, Wiseash, and I think a couple of others.

These are the rates you can expect to get at the moment. But these rates can and sometimes (especially lately) do change frequently during the day so by the time you get to the bank the rate may have changed by 1 or 2 points. Also these are the rates set by the local institutions and Banco Central de CR; and the international rate that you can find listed elsewhere will be different, and almost always higher. Not sure where you would go to get the international rate; certainly not in Costa Rica.

By the way, this represents an almost 10% increase in the last 6 weeks or so which is a boon for us expats living here on a fixed income. Only problem is, I am sure prices will start to all go up 15% very soon!! (past history)

And the bad thing that I have seen (past history) is once the rates drop back down the 15% increase on many different things from food to girls will stay at the increased price. But enjoy while it is here!!

Agreed. From here on out only links to obscure music videos that are only enjoyed by the elderly.

Only "enjoyed by the elderly"...WTF does that mean?

Gringotim, shame on you. Don't you know 8ball is a youngish (!!! hahahhaahah) cool guy with game and is above any level of pusssy attainment and obtainment you could ever imagine :?: 8ball and his running buddies....including good ole Cujo.....have a wanton contempt for "old guys". He and his pretty much don't "do" Costa Rica anymore, thinking they've found nirvana in Columbia.

Search his posts if you feel like wasting some time and you'll discover that cool guys like him don't pay to play......he got game.

Me? I'm just waiting.....and not for Godot.....: Sooner or later one of them guys going into "El Perrico Land" are gonna see what Columbia is all about and end up in the trunk of a car (if they're lucky)....it's a cultural thing in Columbia.....and just because Escobar ain't there don't mean his replacements don't do the exact same stuff....and that doesn't even include the light weight, run of the mill, snatch the gringo at the ATM machine in broad daylight.

I am also waiting for these uber mongers to get a grip and understand they're gonna get up in years, if they're lucky, and recognize all the free (and I do mean free) cunt/snatch/trim opportunities that he and his cronies had no clue was "in the air" because their collective game amounts to something like tiddly winks or pick up sticks. Why are "guys" in their 30's and 40's needing to pay to play (and these guys are the types that will pay to screw.....they have yet to grasp the genius of paying them to leave)????

I have to stop now and go to the store to purchase some Polident for my old man dentures. Oh....wait......I was reared in a family where basic oral hygiene was a priority item.....; never mind.....but you get the drift? 8)

In other words, just disregard the source. :P 8)

Based on my observation of your general personal hygiene standards, I find that statement to be highly dubious.

Is that the kind of lingo you guys use in them high powered not for profit outfits? "dubious"?

I doubt you even know what the word "dubious" means.....until you google it and discover it's a word that applies 150% to chrome dome fat fuucks. And trust me.....when you're MY age, you're gonna be one giant whale. Can't fight them genes.....don't care how much time you might suggest you're spending at "....the gym...." or "NOT" eating. It's already been determined.

8ball....your destiny is set: To be an old, white, fat fuuck who may (or may not) pay girls to leave your presence.....and in your case......that's right around the corner. Now, call in your simpleton, Espanole speaking, dog boy absent father who paid as little support as he could get away with (not hard when you're working graveyard with a limited education and a minimum wage job if ever there was one.....); along with no real relationship with the Ch*ld which is 50% to both parties. Stats document these fatherless young men are destined for our Nation's wonderful penal system. Wow. That's a really caring daddy you run with..... Ummmmmmm kay??

Relative to moi? I am the first to admit I dress and bath; wash and wipe; bladda, bladda, bladda....when and if I feel like it. I really don't care what specious mofos might posture. Key section in that. The simple word "I". See, when you remove yourself from the exercise wheel for the gerbil they see you as, you MIGHT start to get smart and realize....well.....you'll see and it will start with the self doubts and recognition YOUR life was all about selling out to the "highest bidder" who/which turned out to be paying nickels and dimes. I just love seeing you guys with your shaved heads thinking you're all a G.I. Joe Ready Hard Guy. I doubt you'd be able to control your bladder or bowels when the shit hits the fan.

Does your employer know all the web sites you go to when "working"? A not for profit at that? Several do.

Quick: FatEight calls up the El Silence guy who "....does taxes....." for "...ex pats....." in these shit holes (I guess) and now posts about exactly what? And then these posts from long lost Costa Rica Queens decide to post on their abandoned message board?

Nah.....the way you guys "do" Columbia underscores my spelling is correct. Also, suggest you take a close look at that visa entry stamp. Easter Egg after that bar code is scanned. "They" know you're from this message board; they're monitoring your movements; and "they" know Aussie Greg and his outfits ain't so good for Pablo's reputation. The fact you're gringos is just gravy. Tick. Tock.
