Regarding your comments about Fleetwood Mac, Greeny was my favorite of the British Guitar Blues Players and a voice, an ethereal blues voice, outer worldly. Check out his video You Tube on the song Oh Well, at the end of the song you can see him laughing uncontrollably from the acid blowing his mind, sad story what happened to a great blues genius. BTW, you can obviously find it on You Tube in a matter of minutes, no reason to be lazy, we don't need CNAs or HHAs yet to help us with our ADLs. YO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The HOF is a joke. It took Rush quite some time to get in. So Peter Greene is your favorite British Guitar blues player? His name is not often talked about, when surrounded by the likes of Clapton,Page and Beck. I liked his tenure in Fleetwood Mac. My favorite is Oh Well.

Yeah, Peter Green was incredible. Most people don't even know who he is. 'Oh Well' is indeed a classic.
Excerpt from the book 'Peter Green: Founder of Fleetwood Mac' by Martin Celmins...

'Green was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia and spent time in psychiatric hospitals undergoing electroconvulsive therapy during the mid-1970s. Many sources attest to his lethargic, trancelike state during this period'.

Electroconvulsive therapy...WTF? Sounds a little like 'One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest' to me :shock:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcZJCLce1cY sorta explains what happens. I was earlier on the phone with Zunbake who quietly asked why I really don't play much anymore. I noted to him: "My fingers do the same thing on a fret board as what is going on Peter Green's head.....".

Gringotim...... Pm me a google email address and I will "invite" you to download some of my live club recordings which I did in the past couple of years (they're too "large" to email). The guy that breathed some life into me went and died on my ass in the Atlanta airport a year or two back. Now it's back to shaking fingers.

Zunbake3 is the man: He has the balls to get out there and do it....and he's done it in CR, sitting in with a couple of bands and wailing his style of vocals. Bigger balls there ain't. Mine have done the opposite of dropped....they've climbed back up inside where it's nice and safe and warm.

Yeah, I concur AlNyc.....the HOF is a money machine just like the Blues Foundation and their annual stupidity. A real bluesman ain't got the money to join in order to vote! :idea: :arrow:

Shine On You Crazy Diamond...

It's kind of eerie how similar Syd Barrett's demise paralleled that of Peter Green. At least Peter Green
continued playing a little after his 'illness', unlike Syd.

Gringotim:

Yes, I always put Barrett's and Green's experience together. I guess on our side of the Pond, Brian Wilson and Phil Spector had similar bad experiences on LSD. I had a real bad trip back in 1971 when I was 16 that I still remember very clearly to this day. it was a hellish experience that changed my perception on things for life.

Steven 1- I love that reason you gave me today why you don't play the guitar much these days!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnD4RlgoU6w let's get this back to Zunbake's band and their raw blues.....

here we have their version of The Thrill is Gone
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LfkeHWmwp8 has Zunbake taking Tom Petty to task.

You think this shit is easy? To put your ass out on video using your name and opening yourself up to any and all of the crackpots out there....just waiting to cut you to pieces? It ain't.

Once upon a time I knew how to play a Fender telecaster. I walked away from it. Lost my balls. Zunbake has balls the size of melons.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Og8Wus8A ... 4-overview
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tBJi1nIk ... hH3dm9pjVA and here is Zunbake with his band....doing what is probably my personal best, Jimi Hendrix's Red House

Takes a MAN to do this shit live and in living color and put it up on the internet....let alone do it in front of real people. BALLS.

YOU CAN'T DO THAT!@
