I've seen lots of black men in SJ and they always seem to be having a good time, so can't be too bad!

You may get 1 or 2 who don't go for whatever reason, but 99% won't care. As they say green is the color.

Have you tried to a search here on CRT? Obviously not, because if ypu had, you wiuld find it doesn't work properly. It was one if the things that changed for the worse after the new guys took over. It's been discussed, but nothing has ever been done about it. New admins not interested.

It's def diminished since the changes. Depends on the simplicity of the search term. Put in Sportsmen's Lodge or Del Rey or Mona Lisa or Zona II, or the other hangs, or Jaco hotel, or cell phone, or a number of other often asked new poster q's and you'll get plenty of pages that may take a while to read.

Put in black men racism and all you get is this thread and that's it.

If I am convinced the guy is not a troll based on his first few posts and the quality of answers he gets, and then his follow-up post(s), like the guy last week who said he was afraid to venture out of the DR by himself or some non-sense, I pm the guy and try to help if it's not a common search term. One who didn't Post in that Thread but who should have value is Bro Jett. The other side of the coin is that there aren't too many Black women in the trade in CR--principally Dominicanas. There may be Dominican MPs but they haven't been mentioned here, I don't think.
In sum: It's all about the Benjamins AND not being a Black costariqueno. << This last bit is purely my opinion but remember most folks from Puerto Limon weren't even allowed much into SJO 'til the '60's--come here, do your biz then go back to the Carib side that day, was the way it was.

I typed in "African Americans" to the search engine and got 17 matches. This took me about 10 seconds. I wasn't aware that the search function worked much better before the changeover. If that is in fact the case, we should receive some feedback from the new admins.

I would like to hear from the OP and get his opinion of using the board as someone new to CRT.

I just did the same thing with several different types and key words. The search function is working for me.

I do not see much in the way of racism with the girls here in Costa Rica. As long as they get paid what "they believe" is the agreed amount. They have no specific issues with black men that I am aware of or observed. In fact I see more of a negative view of their latin neighbors from the girls than anyone else.

The search function only appears to work for posts after the changeover ... That is, from April 2013 forward. And also 2005 and earlier. The years 2006 - april 2013 are not being searched. Look again at your "african american" search. Look at the post dates.
