Jan 13 they posted on FB that they were under new managment, appears to be written by someone who was trying to write English the best he/she could. Here it is:
"The Pirate Club us starting off the new year with new management Bar tender Fernando and plenty of new girls to choose from staff"
If that means they have a new owner/mgr, that, to many, might be a sign of regular hours and good news. If it meant that the bitchy older female bar boss was gone, that would also be good news.
They quit posting here maybe over a year or so ago after a number of guys went back and forth with them about their not being open when advertised, etc. The big problem was its location--not close to the rest of our haunts--so guys would cab it over there only to find it closed during prime time. I think that's a fair summary of the problem other then the beefs about the bar boss.
The same thing happened on another board about the same time (no not "that" board) but he was in on the posts and counter posts that all centered around the unreliable hours except for a few bewteen 'him" and the Club that got personal and nasty. Shortly after, all posts that even mentioned Pirate Club were deleted from that board by that board's Admin, like "poof", gone like the thread never happened.
Anyway, new managment sounds hopeful. The bang rooms were better then most, the bar was kind of cool in decor pirate style, and a decent to very good line up often, often just so so. However, if they aren't answering the phone during their posted hours, the new guy hasn't changed it much.
