Thanks for all the great info gentleman. Ive learned a lot from the forum. I will be staying at LaAmistad from the 6th Feb thru the 13th. Got the all inclusive deal. Really excited but also a little nervous about the solo part.
To clarify I have been to Costa Rica before but it was with the girlfriend. We did the adventure tourism thing. Only stayed in San Jose 1 night when we arrived and 1 night before we left. Again thanks and hope to meet up with some of you guys if your there!

Howdy - LA is a good choice... I did my first trip solo & found it a great place to hang, easy to make friends there, and the staff is really good. My bet is someone there will be happy to show you the ropes.
Close enough to walk to the hot spots (Sportsman's is a block away, Del Rey about 10 minutes) but you can chill there without being annoyed by chicas.

I did CR the first time on my own last year as well, and while I was nervous as my Spanish is basic at best, I found it easier than I would have imagined. San Jose is very user friendly as long as you use basic safety common sense.

I would suggest to get a ride from the airport with PVT who can show you the ropes. Otherwise once you get to the LA to have lunch/supper talk to a few of the other guys then head over to SL down the street, sit down, order a drink from the lovely bartenders, and the working girls will come to you. Most of them are very friendly. The rest takes care of itself.

I'll be fine. I've been to Amsterdam and all over Europe many times but never been anywhere strictly for the pu*sy.that's the big difference. I'm looking forward to the trip and to get out of Indiana and this shitty weather. I'm going to drive to Florida for a week and then fly down to Costa Rica. Can't wait

My buddies and I will be at the SL Feb 6th-9th. Our first trip to CR.

Maybe I'll see you guys there Saintivan. Cant wait too get down there!
