I am planning a trip to Costa Rica in April and would like to stay at the La Amistad. I am debating whether to get a King room or Queen room. Based on the photos on their website, the Queen Rooms look very plain compared to the King Rooms . . . Anybody stayed in the Queen rooms lately. The King rooms look very upscale and renovated. Maybe it's just an old photo of the Queen rooms. . . Anybody?

Live like a king! I highly recommend the king rooms. I have stayed in them and they are great. And do the all-inclusive. Very worth your money.

N2, I think I left my wallet and a couple of stray condoms in that room. Could you please return them by FedEx or UPS. I'll expect them in March 2015. Thanks, JW :D

I stayed in room 215 on my last trip. Nice size bathroom. No problem with train noise, but that damn air-conditioner across the hall was noisy. Previous guest left condoms for my use, but they were too small for my pecker :D

cheers,
Attila

I recommend getting the largest room they have availible, all a great deal....
Usually the issue is if rooms are vacant or not, I'd still take a Amistad queen over most places because of the over all experience Matt and company provide.

I just stayed in a suite on the first floor (#106) this past November. It was dark, dank and noisy. After two nights there, I left for Arenal and canceled the other two nights at Amistad on the back end of my trip. My recommendation: don't get one of the rooms on the first floor. The much talked about train noise at La Amistad was NOT an issue.

That bed was comfortable, I slept like a king in a queen bed! Amistad pays attention to detail. For that they will always have my business as long as I stay in SJO when visiting.

don't know if I have ever known anyone to stay in the bottom floor rooms.
Of course I have only 6 or 7 visits under my belt and all prior to the all inclusive deal.
The all-inclusive must really have the occupancy rate up!
Don't think i would like a bottom floor room at all.
Something to think about before booking.

I have been staying there since i started traveling to CR. I like the atmosphere and the hospitality. As stated above availability is always the issue. Usually when i call they only have a queen available which is the basic room. But, more than not if a cancelation comes up i get put in a bigger room while I'm there...i recommend getting at least the king size rooms though...
