Nature Air is now operating from 2 different Airports (SJO) San José, Juan Santamaria international and San José, Pavas Airport located 5 miles from downtown and 10 miles from Juan Santamaria Intl Airport.

I didn't that about Nature Air.But try to get a flight from/to Pavas since you are nod leaving upon returning to SJ, cheaper taxi. Check your weights/ticket class allowance and if you need to most SJ hotels will let you store some stuff until you get back.

Starting Dec 1, all Nature Air flights are out of SJO says its website. It appears it has abandoned Pavas totally. Too bad, one less option, and a pain getting into town.

As a daydream, I priced Sansa and Nature Air SJO to Quepos for 12.27 returning 1.3. Used to do it alot before the new highway, and just rent the car there. For along time it was in the $80 r/t range.

You can do it for as little as $132 r/t on Nature Air (luggage restricted 10 lbs check in bag, 10 lbs carry on--what they are calling their "Loco" fare, but more weight more money) and $176 on Sansa, max 30 lbs checked in bag, $1 per pound over, and 10 lb carry on. And that includes $50 in r/t taxes on both. Wow! A 25 minute $41 flight on Nature Air and you get hit with a $25 tax--Sansa too. Sounds goofy.

I know for sure if you are a citizen or resident, you get a discount but that info was not on either of their English, gringo targeted websites.
