Not a Newbie I just don't post much!

I have some private messages that I have replied to that say sent, but remain in my outbox. Is this normal? How can I be sure they were sent and/ or received?

Jason........

Once you submit a PM to the system to be sent to somebody, it will show in YOUR outbox until the recipient opens your message. When it is opened, it will then show in your "sent" box.

If the recipient NEVER opens your PM, it will sit in your outbox forever.
