I did not see a write up of things to do other than chica related....suggestions?

Jade museum, Gold Museum, National Theater, Central Mercado, City Tour, Tour of the Del Rey :D

Inside the hotel there is cable TV, internet, shower/hot tub, comfy beds, great restaurant and a nice bar.

In San Jose, Attila covered it pretty good above.

From San Jose, you can do day trips out to Irazu or Poas volcanoes, La Selva biological preserve, beach at Jaco, coffee tour, zip lines, bungee jumping, white water rafting and a whole lot more.

Outside San Jose, you can go to Arenal area for hot springs or Manuel Antonio if you prefer a beach along with all the adventure activities you can imagine at either place.

Really, the possibilities for things to do are sort of limited in downtown San Jose but are unlimited in Costa Rica.
