IMO, humans are not meant to be monogamous, albeit almost 50% do successfully hang onto a single partner for life. The other half is like us, just that the frequency may be different. I also think that our need to be in a committed relationship emanates from our need to belong which consequently results in us feeling secure.
I've been coming to Costa Rica for 20 years and even the thought of not ever coming back scares me. I always wonder, at what age, I would simply say enough and retire from mongering.
Just like most of the posters above, I’m happily married and my monger side has been in remission for several years but I have a feeling that one day, sooner or later, I’ll break down. I never stopped looking just never indulge. I still come to Costa Rica, even if it is to see a dentist or have a vacation.
