I was "knee deep" in putas on my first 2 trips when I stayed at SL and loved every minute. Staying at HLH on trip #3 made me have more action every day for less than the price of putas at SL and HDR. The atmosphere of fun that Boyd had with chicas there gave me strength to session more times than any other trip.

I was out the door every day to investigate the city, so lost out on the free sessions. But I remember several cuties there at times. My next visit I will stay somewhere else and use HLH as an MP, so that I actually score something there.

Also, SL and DR did not compare on my recent trip. DR is hardcore, with chicas basically casing the place. At SL, it's more subdued. They get seats and allow the guys to circle. The girls also case SL, but I didn't feel it anywhere like DR. DR is a feeding frenzy.

anyone have recommendations for a good hotel to stay at? i've heard a lot about the del rey, but i'm worried it might be too intense for a first visit.

any advice you can spare would be greatly appreciated.

Have you decided on the days? I'm going to be there the 15th-21st. In San Jose the first 2 nights at LA, then off to Jaco.

I always say that if a guy is adamant about staying at the Rey, they should at least experience it once. After the 1st night or 2nd night, they could always change locations if they have booked in advance. Perfect example. We transported 3 non CRT guys to the Rey last week. They checked in and and spent a few hours there when they 1st arrived. I came back a couple of hours later to meet someone in the Blue Marlin bar. As I was leaving, I saw the guys in the lobby. They asked where I was going and I said the S.L. I asked them if they wanted to ride along and they said sure. We arrived at the S.L. and headed to the back and sat around the bar. Bill came by and I introduced the 3 gentlemen. They seem to be enjoying themselves. The next day I took the guys to Los Suenos on a 2 day fishing trip so they stayed in Jaco. They had already pre-arranged for a ride back to San Jose. I am in the S.L. Saturday watching the Braves beat the Reds when low and behold, the 3 gentlemen came walking in with their luggage. Guess they like the place so good they changed locations from the Rey to the S.L. The next day they headed to the airport and reported to me that they had a blast.

There are many great places to stay in San Jose. Many are CRT discount providers. I have no problem with a newbie wanting to experience the Rey. Soon after, they will more than likely change locations. Have fun in Costa Rica. That's what it's all about.

the comraderie at SL is really what makes it so good. It is a real man's bar. The quality girls know this and that is where they go. The DR doesn't lend itself to meeting new friends so easily. You're too much under siege.

I gotta push my trip back into September. A fellow brother told me the flights were cheaper the last week of August through labor day, but at my work I can't take time off surrounding a holiday.

Looks good the 15th - 21st, and I'm leaning towards SL. Will put myself on the calendar when booked.

Thanks again for all the advice, both here and through PMs.

it's a curious choice, the high-priced flight days.
If flight costs are high, it means volume seats sold, which means more brothers in the gulch, which means more wingmen to meet, and more competition for the girls.
On the flip side, low-cost flight times generally mean less demand, less brothers headed down, less faces to meet, but better negotiation room for services.
Decisions, decisions!

I like your way of thinking B.D. Glass is 1/2 full type of guy. It's what this forum needs, some fresh perspectives.

I personally would not stay at the del ray, and ive been there 5 times now. Its a shell shocker nice to get away from ground zero when you want to turn it off. I did stay at the Sleep Inn a half block (basically a sign and parking lot separates it from the D/R). Its very clean and modern, a think only a few years old. Security is great, they will walk you from the front door to within sight of the Del Ray if you want and the guard carries.

Now a few trips under the belt, I would not stay at the sleep in as its too generic and has a high chica fee. I stayed at la amistad last time and that is a tremendous value and gives you the feel of Costa Rica. Only downside is taking the stairs to the penthouse rooms (4 flights up and down but it was not a big deal for us).

This time of the year its a buyer's market you can name your own price(s) you should not pay cien ($100) this time of the year even first trip. My Wing had 2 chicas for 2 hours or more for $80 last trip so $40 per girl (late June).

Be very careful on the bikes, two groups of friends have had serious injuries one was in a body cast for half a year. In costa it rains and rains and rains and when it doesn't rain they run the tours. The ground can be extremely soft, do NOT ride on the right hug the left side of the trails, the right can literally just give way under neath you I've seen it happen.

We use a guy named Oscar in Jaco he's good, speaks excellent English and has new/newer bikes.
