All,

I apologize publicly for calling people names and will sensor any posts I make in the future. I tried to go back and edit/delete my post regarding ES, however, I cannot. In either case, Admin edited out the points that were sensitive, before I could make any edits or delete.

If Boyd travels here, they will take him directly to jail on numerous charges. Beating women and stealing is not cool?

Ok, I must call bullshit on this one. If he was wanted by Costa Rican authorities, he would be arrested in the US. Are you saying that CR can force a gringo to pay Ch*ld support from the US, but they wóuldn't go after somebody for assualt and grand larceny?

As for one of your other comments... how do you know he left a fatherless Ch*ld in CR? How do you know the Ch*ld is not with him in the US or he is with the Ch*ld in another country?

I'm not looking to defend Boyd because I don't know why he left or if he did anything wrong. None of us really know happened and probably never will. And I don't believe word on the street or rumors, especially from hookers.

It certainly sounds to me like you are defending him. :P Frankly, that is fine by me. Here is what I know about CR law. The man must get written permission to leave the country whether he takes his K*D or not. She already filed an abuse complaint with the police. Unless she removed that abuse complaint (its called a denuncio), the police will be looking for him. Grand larceny and assault... not sure what you mean. But the former would be handled by the OIJ.

I am neither a supporter nor detractor of Boyd, and I wasn't suckered by him about anything, I don't have a dog in this fight, but I'm also sick of hearing about it.

I'm also going to point out the obvious. This isn't a thread about Boyd. If you guys want to go and discuss Boyd I have no issue with that. Go start another thread. I may even contribute.

Today, right here, right now, the direction and philosophy that the board is going to take is being decided here by the members and the admins of this board. I'm far more concerned about that, and it's a lot more important, than rehashing old news. So let's get on with it, and address what matters in the here and now.

im not defending Boyd and i don't think Orange is either. but this sounds like you are in direct contact w his ex wife g/f whatever she was. i think the point being made is that its all speculation and rumors. there was obviously a trail of debris left by the man but the next thing i think most of us care to hear about him was the last.
i was never fooled or involved w the guy. in fact i led the boydbot campaign when every thread was about how great hlh was. he WAS good at promoting that business. and the times i met him he was always gracious and (in)decent.
its just over.

You might want to get that prescription checked, boss. :)

I just wanted to put my 2 cents in here about Boyd. I know he did some bad shit, but when it was happening I was not involved nor did it affect me. My experiences with Boyd was always positive in that he provided me with excellent customer service if I had a problem either at the DI or HLH, he was always Johnny on the spot to resolve any issues I had with my room or stay and that is why I always stayed at any property he was working at. Also, we used to have fun discussing College Football picks and making mutual bets together and we were very successful. When I was a newbie he showed me and my wingman around SJO, something you would never get from some of the other hotel managers or owners in Barrio Amon. Of course Bill at the SL and Guy at the Mona Lisa are great as well!!

Not currently, however, they can certainly get you if you fly back. Lots of strong laws around the protection of women in Costa Rica. Some of them are good. Some of them are extremist.

The reason I asked is I'm trying to help an amiga tica. She had 3 by a Calif guy who split. Here's what an abogada told me. Problem is no treaty between US & CR on this, so a state court can't enforce a CR support order. If he returns to CR and the paperwork has been done and entered, CR can stop him at immigration and hold him until he posts 13 months support. I googled all of that and that checked out exactly. Problem with that is that 13 months is the last support she'll ever get, he'd never return.

No, but you are screwed when you fly back to CR. The law here blindly sides on the tica side.
