What can I say    You have to admit that the look on the doorman's face was priceless when 2 drunk gringos show up with a 1/2 gallon of cheap cheap red wine a a mostly empty bottle of Irish Whiskey shouting "donde'esta las chicas" "Mi gusto mochas chicas" as he hastily assured us "no no no chicas aqui"  :x :D

Well,

In the minute I have been in CR Puchos has burned at least twice I think. It has never been big enough to burn any of the adjacent buildings. Sounds sketch to me, but who knows. I am sure there will be a new and improved Puchos soon enough. Plus it did not even burn the building down. Not even close. So all you guys with VIP cards will probably only have to wait a few weeks before the make it new and improved.

Stopped by Relax/Idem/Eros the other day on the way in from the airport to let Seawub and Doc Mario check out the lineups. No damage whatsoever to any of our 'favorite' places and no real damage to the outside of Puchoes. However, someone working inside opened the big metal door for a minute and the inside looked totally destroyed. It is the second time it has burned down in recent memory but saw a story in La Nacion that said the fire actually began in the small soda on the corner. Hate to throw a wrench in all the conspiracy fans thoughts out there....

One never sees fire sprinkler systems in Costa Rica. I assume this stuff happens all the time.

I only went there for the 2 for 1 beer specials.

So what if the first beer cost 8 dollars :? .

Hey its a great place to go if you don't have much money and want to get drunk. Plenty of patrons will buy you drinks but you kind of have to know your tolerance level. If you have one too many you just might wake up being spooned and hopefully not remember what happened.
