It is hard to have it both ways...some deep breathes are in order. There are some long-time CRT VIP Sponsors who have really expressed concerns with me over a beer about these issues continuing on with the flaming, valid reviews and complaints OK, but flaming? Moderation ?? Hmmmm here is an idea.....

Instead of censoring innocent ball busting, I would recommend time be better served by doing an IP search of all active members reading and posting on this forum.

If the IP address comes up anywhere but the USA send Private Messages to such people finding out if they are real contributing members or Chicas

There are a few like True Sportsmen, GoodtoGo, Bluedevil, PuraVidaTransport, **** among others who we know are safe, but there have been several threads lately about chicas having access. Real moderation starts at home !!

This is just one of the things killing CRT.

I'm happy that more moderation is taking place.With that being said, there's a balance that needs to be struck, and people have to be able to understand what the limitations are in real terms to avoid summary banning and post erasing. It's a growing pain, and there's some push/pull involved, but I think both sides, moderators and contributors, need to be a little patient with each other while everyone settles into the new normal. Excessive reactions and/or overreactions by either group is unproductive while this happens.

I see that - even though you have "lurked" on this site for over a year, you are a brand new member of CRT, as of today, based on the "join date" on your moniker. And with this, I would like to be the first one to officially welcome you to CostaRicaTicas.com . Spend some time reading the forum, and you will see that there is a wealth of valuable information about traveling to Costa Rica. If there is anything you want to know, simply post your question in the proper section, and someone is usually happy to answer.

If I wished to be moderated according to Gringa values, I would post my thoughts and ideas on those types of websites such as CostaRicaLivingToday. Perhaps my crude language and risque points of view are no longer desired by the new Admins on CRT. Perhaps sponsors such as Bill are embarrassed by my comments.

Rather than be censored on CRT I would rather be insulted by the other CRT posters. I'm really a big boy and can take their insults easier than I can censorshp on a site about mongering. Therefore I think I will just drop off for a while until Admin 1, 2 & 3 can get their collective act together. Much of what I enjoyed about the old website is just not available any more. I find this sort of censorship action childish, demeaning and insulting. It's overboard. I obviously do not live my life according to Admin 3's personal values and I'm unlikely to enjoy having to comply with her arbitrary standards.

Maybe she and the other Admins will want to take another look at whether they are suitable owners/managers of a website such as CRT. Each action they take seems to be destructive rather than a welcomed change by the old guys who are my CRT friends. Perhaps they can get Tomas to give them half their $$ back. That will be better than what they will be able to get from a destroyed specialty website like CRT.

I've gotta agree with Phoenix Rising here. This is not a forum on Quantum Physics or Neuro-Surgery. And ultimately, when all the smoke clears, it's simply about traveling to CR for latina pu$$y. It ain't rocket science and IMHO the "vibe" on the board doesn't have to be so damn serious! Geez... lighten up a little...

Moderation was needed and asked for by most members.

It is amazing how much Big Talk goes on here, an anonymous internet board, but you can not find that poster in person. Posters come on here as lions but act like sheep in public.

I think most of the reaction has been to the dramatic difference between almost zero moderation and now very strict moderation. That will pass.

There is never a good time for personal attacks here as there is never a good time for politics here.

Yeah, I agree to an extent. This board is supposed to be about fun. For many, though, it stops being fun when the name calling, threats and grandstanding start. Yes, "chill out", "don't worry be happy" and all that, but IMHO, this board needed more moderation than the former Admin was providing. This board could stand to be more civil than it is. It remains to be seen whether this board will survive and grow under the new owner. I'm hoping that it will. Hopefully, a happy medium can be reached that keeps most of the parties relatively happy and satisfied.

There are some questions in my mind just how well Alex the Admin and Admin3 know the collective board. I'm not trying to be glib, but I wonder if either of them have been to a CRT function... or even Costa Rica for that matter. If I am not mistaken this board is about mongering and having a good time first and foremost. If the board needs to comply with all sorts of new politically-correct standards, then the owner may wish to consider pulling the plug now, and build a new website that mirrors the new vision.

Just my two cents.
