Some of the posts here said what I was trying to say,but better. My response was all about respect. When we use derogatory words to describe the working chicas,we are acting like the ugly Americans who come here and embarass all of us. When someone disrespects the chicas, who is next? Is it the Blacks,or the Jews,or the Italians etc. Well I hope you get my point. One of the things I like best about living here in CR is the very low incidence of racism compared to the States. I guess they have more important things to worry about. Maybe I came down hard on Boogie, but I think it's better to stop a newbie from posting offensively before it gets to be a habit. The other reason for treating the chicas with respect is that I promise you will have a better time. The best way to experience a GFE is to treat a chica like a GF. Now on to the mongering which is what we all do best anyways.

VB. You seem to be a down to earth guy. You have friends that come to your defense at the drop of the hat(that is good). Seems some thought i meant to insult you , which i never intended. I agree with you totally as to treating people with respect. Years ago when we would talk a girl into some fun well some of the guys would start disrepecting her, (you all know the rest) and then it ruined things. Never could figure these idiots out. Sure the actual term may be whore but there are many different women and stories as well. Makes me wonder how things would be if they were the whore(business girl). I think that in actuality it is a rough tough world for those that work at this daily. It won't cost you a penny to act respectful uness you are a chump.

El Ciego, that list was just too funny. I don't think anyone on this board would try #7 :D

Nuck,

Sounds like a direct challenge!

Boogie, my first thought to you is to get out of the gulch and see some of the country. Even though most of us have the ladies as a primary interest, I believe it really helps the total experience by getting to know the pais.

An easy day trip is to the Orosi Valley. Just gorgeous! You can take a cab to Cartago, get off & visit the ruins of the old cathedral, then go through the basilica. Its about 45 minutes away from downtown SJ. Then, take a local bus 30 minutes down the road to Orosi. It reminds me of Switzerland. You can always treat your favorite chica to a nice trip in the countryside in order to have some company.

Be sure to take a short look at the square in Heredia. Its a $6 cab ride, and only 30 minutes from the DR. Take a look at the church dated 1724. Notice the architechture (sic?) of the old fort. Ask someone the story of the "backwards windows" on the fort.

There's nothing quite so bizarre as watching the lava flow at night from the top of the Arenal Volcano up north.

Quepos is a 25 minute flight away. It costs $50. The third beach at Manuel Antonio Park rivals anything in Hawaii. You will see 3 species of monkeys. One is highly endangered, with only around 1000 left in the world.

For a TRUE accomplishment, begin a quest to speak decent spanish. Sometimes I have jokingly asked the girls if I could "buy" a spanish lesson for $50 and have free sex. I've never met one who was not anxious to introduce you to her language. You may already speak the language, I don't know. It is amazing how knowing just the basics improves the quality of the trip and experience. I'm also convinced that knowing conversational spanish, along with a friendly and gentlemanly smile, lowers the price.

re: the long line of posts on this thread. I understand where both sides are coming from. When I first posted I had no idea of the protocol. One big mistake I made was referring to the chicas by their real names (when I actually knew their real names; many use a stage name). Bob was just trying to point you in the right direction for this forum. We are all glad to have newcomers who write well and will add to the board in the future. He is also one of the absolute best quality sources of information down there. So... good luck to you, and don't take early critique too seriously!

Gopher, thanks for the advice. My non-pro chica always plans some type of sightseeing trip for me. I have actually had the chance to enjoy other things/places, other than just the women of CR. I've been to the volcano, deep sea fishing in Quepos, spend weekends at surrounding neighborhoods playing soccer with mi novia's hermano. She has mentioned that she has plans for my next visit, so i will get a chance to other parts/things in CR.

I also like the "$50 for spanish lessons & free sex" approach, hope you don't mine if I use it. I see you are located in Texas, appreciate the southern hospitality.
