As I had predicted at the start of the this thread, mongering in CR is going to change big time for the better. Colombian girls will not need visas.
May 24th, 2013 (InsideCostaRica.com) Costa Rica joined the Pacific Alliance as a full member yesterday. The alliance so far consists of Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru.
President Chinchilla said that amongst other benefits, joining the Alliance could mean the elimination of visa requirements amongst member countries and greater assistance and support between embassies.
If you are curious how this could go down, then you can take a look at Panama City, where there are always girls coming from Colombia to work in the bars or as Internet *******.

First, and foremost this is a trade deal and history teaches us that trade deals do not depend on relaxed immigration requirements. NAFTA never made it easier for Mexicans to enter the U.S. legally and the recent TLC between the U.S. and Costa Rica didn't open the doors for ticos to travel to the U.S. without a visa.
Just a few years ago, Costa Rica was seriously debating a visa requirement for Mexicans. After all this is a country, that does not even let people from their neighboring country (Nicaraguans) enter visa free.
I also seriously doubt that the current President wants to bring up anything to do with Colombia immigration, after the most recent scandal, involving the free ride for the President on the narco jet that belonged the naturalized Colombian drug lord. Yeah, that's the Colombian with the sham marriage to the tica for immigration purposes. That topic has been at the top of the news for two solid weeks now.
Immigration and Colombia, great topic for this president. The public would eat her alive right now if she went there.
Agreed. And ask any Tico what they think about Colombians and they will say 'hookers' and 'criminals'. And if you respond back 'every one?', they will say 'there may be one or two that aren't'. Free Colombian visa travel ain't going to happen, you can bet on that.
