Me and a buddy just got back from jaco and sjo about 3 weeks ago...my 2nd trip, by buddy's first.
We did a few days at jaco, fishing, atvs, and mongering...then 4 days in SJO, did Irazu volcano, gambling and f**king.
We think we're heading back in april, gonna do a quick 4 day SJO trip...we were talking at work the other day, other than drinking and gambling what's there to do during the day in san jose...I mean I love drinking and gambling too but I don't have to leave west Virginia for that lol and as much as I try its hard to party all day long and all night lol
just wanted some input from regulars down there
thanks

Last year I did the 1/2 day city tour and it was great. It was $40 and they show you the national theatre, gold museum, national stadium, etc.

Malepig, how did you hook up with that tour? I may decide to check out some more stuff than I did on my maiden trip in 2011.

At the front desk of the HLH they had a display of tours with brochures. The desk clerk called them and made the arraingements. I know the SL also has the brochuresand makes the arraingement call for you.

You could:
Piss on the sidewalk (Costa Rican national pastime)
Write a poem about how gay Cujo is
Bitch about the food at Esportsmens
Attend "Story time with Matt" at Amistad @4:00 every day...

Or:
Teach NHHank how to spell
Solve the mystery of Boyd's disappearance
Go fishing in the Koi pond at Amisted
Challenge the Avenida 7 trannies to a break dance fight
Introduce a Tica to the wonderful world of punctuation...

8ball you can't just send a newcomer to "Story Time" He has to bring a subject with him. My recommendation would be how Nicas make the best wives in the world.

I recommend the city tour as week, as a start. Then get a map and just walk. Make sure you keep to safe areas, but a goo walk from GG to the mall and by the park is fun.

If you speak Spanish there are dozens of live theaters. Mostly romantic comedy . But fun. Take a Chica. There is one English theatre run by ex pats.

Try art galleries too.

Mostly you have to discover stuff and have a keen eye.

"Solve the mystery of Boyd's disappearance"

That is really good humor here! :D Just hope admin. doesn't see it LOL.

Seriously when I have the time I love to walk thru Parque Sabana or the ped. friendly ped. malls and explore all over but only in the daytime and when there are plenty of decent looking people around. Ped. malls during the day seem safe to me.
