I haven't been to Cocal, but I was at Del Rey over Semana Santa (March 28 to April 1) and there were plenty of girls all weekend, especially on Saturday and Sunday.

Costa Rica, especially San Jose is dead... you all should just stay home!

That way there is more for me and my buddies!

All these other places come and go and the ones who survive have their following, but the Rey still remains the center of the Costa Rica puta vortex. I suspect it will continue to be so, long after its doubters, detractors and dissers exit this realm and find themselves either basking in puta euphoria or locked in mortal combat with Beazelbub's minions for all eternity.

I've been visiting the Rey since 2003 and have heard numerous stories of it's impending demise or tall tales of some new start up taking over the #1 spot. So far all have either fallen or fallen short.

If the owners of Cocal know what they are doing, and don't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory like the Beatle Bar owners, they'll remain the big dogg or quite possibly the only dogg in Jaco.

Guys wanting to vacation there and focus on fishing and enjoying a hotter tropical clime will go there and sing it's praises.

The rest of us in the vast majority know Jaco is no "Ft Lauderdale" of Costa Rica as I have heard people say, the dirty little secret is it's a dirty little town with dirty little beaches and little to do. Most of us, myself included, have no desire to go there and pay higher hotel fees and puta prices near or equal to those in the USA.

To those who do, I encourage you, have at it and have fun, the more that go there affects supply and demand here, and those of us mongers who linger in San Jose can reap lower chica fees and finally put to rest this terrible cien controversy once and for all.

net... this is where some of us are differant...you are from florida so a nice beach is easy.. some of the guys like me from Chicago just like to get to see the beach and get out of the city.. ( even if it is jaco) and get to swim in the pool or go fishing.

Go to Jaco Tin,

Enjoy the fishing and putas and bars, but take at least one "day" trip and go south to Osa Mt. Village or north to any of the little surfing beaches and see some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I like to compare Costa Rica's Pacific coast to a beautiful luxury bathroom in a multi-million dollar mansion and Jaco is the toilet with a turd floating in it. Once you get off the pot, you can enjoy the 6 jet hot tub or the 4 head shower !

Good for you, I hear tales of guys going to Jaco all the time and not taking a short ride to see incredible beautiful beaches and landscapes. Regarding working girls in obscure areas, I don't know if you've been around as long as me, I know a lot of putas on a personal level and I'll take one with me that I know and trust if I go for a day or two getaway to a nature park area unlikely to have providers. I'll pay anywhere from a cien to a cien and 1/2 per day plus food and gifts. It's well worth it to play house and get laid morning noon and night !

I'm an avid hiker and even though I am in my late 50's, a 5 to 6 mile hike is a walk in the park for me, (forgive the analogy). Last time I went to Arenal, I took one of my faves, age 25 and bought her some nice hiking boots. After 3 miles she was gasping and sweating and said "I didn't agree to THIS"...
