Anybody know of any guides that do freshwater fishing trips?
(no lectures on the fine open water sport fishing in CR, I am aware!)

Not sure by "freshwater" if you mean like Lake Arenal or river. Here's a website that'll be a start for you anyway. http://www.fishingcharterscostarica.com/contact_us.html

Lake Arenal is the main fresh water fishing stop. Just Google Lake Arenal fishing guides or tours and you will have all the info you need.
