Hotel Delrey is the best.

Which other hotel has over 100 girls...none...only Delrey Hotel

If you want peace and quiet, this hotel is NOT for you...

People may stay at other hotels, but they always end up at the Delrey looking for a good time.

I have always stayed here at Delrey and always will...

Again, your opinion, and you are entitled to it - just realize many others (like me) may disagree and have the time and experience in Costa Rica to do so :)

(Not to put too fine a point on it, but how many trips have you made - have you tried other places - if so and you return to HDR, thats fine - many agree with you - but an equal number do not, and the place is way down the list for many of us, for many good reasons  )

Del Rey room furnishings are vinatge 1980. IMO the rooms are dumps for what you pay. Plus that damn chica fee. There are MUCH better options for the money. Don't get me wrong, I'm at the DR and Key Largo every night for the festivus. I have pulled many quality sessions from there after careful screening. Some of my best pulls have been from there. There are some mercs...ya just have to learn to recognize their BS and send them on their way.

BP, I agree with your opinion on using the Del Rey as a visiting spot and not as your hotel. My basis though is the Chica fees that can quickly add up and take a bite out of your budget.

I totally agree. But I blame the monger: in my opinion if you are just meeting hardened mercenary types, it is your interviewing / choosing skills that are the problem, not the girls. You are simply choosing the wrong girls! I have been mongering in San Jose since the early 90's and of a hundred or more girls I've had by now, I've only ever run into 3 that were hardened mercenary types - and I blame myself for choosing them. 97% of the time choose great girls who provide either a GFE or close to it.

Dismissing the large number of opinions on the Del Rey being a meat market as coming from mongers who have poor interviewing skills or meet the wrong girls is simplistic.

If this were the case, why do the same mongers experience success at other venues - like across the street at Key Largo -- and even hook up with regular "non-pros"?

The Del Rey has its role and its target customers. TEHO applies. But it ain't for everyone.

Been reading the forums a lot lately to get ready for my trip to CR. I see many talk about bug problems in the hotels(roaches). I'm not a fan of bugs at all so I wanted to know what would be a good hotel to book at to avoid this issue.

Don't stay at Morazan or HLH. Never had any problems at Sportsman Lodge or La Amistad.

I disagree that it's a simplistic answer. I feel that's it a major reason for it. As for why the same monger can go across to KL & find a better girl, I think that everyone, after meeting a girl & having it go badly, instinctively adjusts their approach to the next person in order to try to increase the chances of success. In other words, they subconsciously interview the next girl better, are more friendly, or whatever & it produces a better result.

Don't forget, as "mercenary" as some of the chicas seem, mongers are no better. For proof, see the "Great Cien Debate" thread.

I've never seen a bug at La Amistad on 30+ stays there.
