As to the food no one addressed the fact of how small the omelet and potatoes were. I mean, really: $7 for the tiniest mound of potatoes and tiniest omelet drenched in grease I've ever seen. I would not have commented on it here were it not so outrageous. If only I'd taken a photo, I'm pretty sure 95% of viewers would agree!
We'll have to agree to disagree. I don't know what you consider "small" or how much you usually eat, but for me 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausage links, a portion of potatoes, and an English muffin is plenty for breakfast.

Hi, Miamiheller, no problem with disagreements. I expected them and knew I was giving what was probably an unpopular opinion here. Yes I could have praised the Del Rey but that probably would not have been read by the owner of the SL. See my point?
Re the omelet (sometimes a small point becomes too big a thing in these threads but that's the nature of the beast so I'll continue):
What I ordered was not breakfast but an omelet for dinner. I was in the mood for an omelet and - to SL's credit - I thought "If anyone can make an omelet in this country (most places there cannot - it's like they deep fry them in oil or something. Yuk.), it is the SL!"
I ordered a separate omelet with potatoes as a side. Not sure if they were together or potatoes were a side, all I know is it had around a 3500c price tag. No bacon. No coffee. No sausage, no muffin.
What I got was literally and without exaggeration the smallest omelet I've ever gotten in my life,
anywhere, accompanied by the smallest glob of potatoes I've ever gotten in my life. Literally the potatoes were served in a circle about the size of a silver dollar. The omelet was not only small it was super greasy - this after I had asked the waitress specifically if the omelets were super greasy and told "no". Would have thought maybe she could have said to chef, "Light on the oil please!"
Normally I would not comment on food but this was just so outrageous I had to comment on it. My god in the states here I can order an omelet for breakfast and get one that takes up half the plate and the potatoes taking up the other half - and delicious with Mexican salsa and veges inside etc for the same price!
