So im going to be making my maiden voyage to SJ. Staying at Sportsmans for half the trip and HLH the rest. I was only able to get a standard large room in the courtyard. All my research shows that this might be an iffy choice due to its proximity to the bar area. Are the rooms in the courtyard area really as bad as Ive seen reviewed? Im no prude and Im definately not gonna be in my room for long periods of time reading or meditating. Looking forward to getting down there and meeting anyone who's gonna be around.

I am going to be at SL Feb.20-25 so perhaps we can meet each other. As for your room, Yes it can be noisy. But SL is not open during most of the hours that you'll really want quiet. There can still be some noise. But some guys aren't bothered by that and think those rooms are a great bargain. Sometimes you can just open your door and a chica falls right into the room with you.

I'll be at the Freebird the 19-26. I've stayed in the courtyard rooms a few trips. I'm usually out late so I like to take brief naps during the day and the music, occasional live band and other noise made that difficult. Otherwise as Lomo said, the bar closes by Midnight after which you will only hear the clip clap of heels and moaning:). Hope to meet everyone.

Ok. Seems I had the wrong info my previous post. Will be in SJ feb 16-23. And staying at HLH. The courtyard noise aspect got to me I guess. Hit me up if you'll be in town and we can hoist a few.

I will be staying at LA from 2/19 - 2/23 after returning from the beach. It would be great to meet up!

T-minus 2 weeks! Getting excited. Have been reading this board like I was preparing for the LSAT. Think I have the basics somewhat. Thanks to all for the insightful, informative posts I'll be at HLH on sat the 16th if anyone wants to have drinks

I will be making my first trip to CR 2/22-26. Anyone want to show me the ropes?

Reading up on posts is a good way to get ready, along with watching the videos about the SL on youtube too, that fellow mongerers have shot from various visits and events.

Also, walking in and seeing the open atmosphere of the bar and everyone relaxing and having a god time is a nice way to make you feel welcome.

I will be around until the 25th. You are welcome to hang with us.
