When I was a Ch*ld growing up in southeast Texas, my granny ran the roost and forbade any talk on politics or any discussion on other religions, seems to me now she was pretty wise. Just a word to the wise,....it's a monger site, which i my self need to remember.

We discuss topics like politics and religion in the USA, in fact we talk them to death. when we are in Costa Rica we talk about pu*sy, where to get it, who's the best at it and what's the price !!!

You realize, this was tongue in cheek, so to say.

For be it from me to judge anything.

Because of of the words in the topic headline, this'll "search" so to get it right out there:

Words/phrases that can lead to killing talk (religion, politics, extremely attitudinal badinage ) or lead to more unwanted scrutiny (illegal shtuff) are banned. Members are enjoined to stay civil and play within the extremely loose of the "Rules of the Res". Otherwise put--run what you brung.

Comment invited.

I'll third that -

Jazz is a good guy, and smart, too. Glad to see you back posting - When you had not for a while, I thought a gang of old ladies living in SW FL might have captured you and did all sorts of really perverted things to you sexually - really glad that was not the case     :P :)

Re "taboo" topics, all I'll say is when discussing politics and/or religion either on line or in person, I've never seen the person with an opposite view exclaim "Yes - Yes - you are right and I have been wrong - I'll totally change my point of view to reflect yours - how could I have been so wrong all this time!?!"

It just does not happen, maybe b/c both subjects have an aspect of belief and faith to them - plus you are not likely to "change" someone who is strong on the left or the right, nor an aithest or a fundamentalist Christian.

Its boring too - I'd rather tell a newbi who did zero research he's dumb for picking a family resort in BFE and expecting wall to wall pu*sy, then arguing with someone who thinks its a good idea to ride a bus back to San Jose for 5 hours each way to find working girls - or the troll who posted he was at a resort with his parents, and told a really stupid story about meeting a Nica and how and where to Phuck her - this guy could write; true, he was a troll, and a lot of guys fell for his BS story, but I'd personally like to see him post more as I enjoyed reading his BS as well as the <gullible> reactions (I'm busting balls just a little - but this was the gist of actual threads - show me politics or religion that would be as captivating    :) )

Considering where Jazzbo lives, he was probably just in a COMA for several months..........with some of the wobbly, blue-haired, old ladies who also live there.
