Book the Mona Lisa!!! A great choice!!
seems strange that you guys are touting the Mona Lisa in this fashion. The place doesn't even open for a week & you guys are saying
great choice &
very nice place like it's one of the gulch's top hotels. What do we really know about it other than who's running it. Seems like testimonials such as these would be valid after the place is open & our membership has stayed & partied there & have reported back.
Good point, none of us has stayed there since it closed as the Clarion and now reopening as the Mona Lisa.
The structure and rooms can't have changed much in a few years since it closed. Unlike 99% of the places in the gulch, this place was
built to be a hotel, don't know what year but newer contruction. Guys have posted it currently looks great inside. I did stay there when it was Clarion, over priced but it was a
hotel by gringo standards. I'll take my chances with Guy, known to us, at the helm that it'll be similar to what it was in quality & service when it was the Clarion--an American style hotel from the get go by construction. You can't beat the price. Experienced guys know the options for the area at way more then $45 and no chica fee.
The options are ? at $65-$75-or at $90? with a chica fee... or etc and maybe a nosiy dump?
Jump on this while the price is right. It's opening very soon but although I won't be there for the opening, I am booking for Feb--no cc required.
I have no personal interest whatsoever in this place, but I can see a deal in the gulch having stayed in most of them other then HLH, not crtical of it, just the facts.
But you are right, we need a TR from the 1st guy in the new Mona Lisa.
