"CRT is not so much a monger community, as it is a discount dispensary. Even then, the only place the CRT card works that TL's card doesn't is the SL. While the TL card works at the Del Rey and Cocal in Jaco. The 'community' still there is a bunch of guys insulting and threatening each other all the time. Old modified software, not much recent monger related content, and a 5 year old map with half the places closed.

The owner had some health issues a few years ago and lost interest. He drops into Costa Rica 3-4 times a year for about 24 hours at a time to pick up money from Sportsmens Lodge and the Dunn Inn, then leaves on the next flight back to Miami.

I suppose it all depends on your definition of "Benefits". "

I'm a VIP member to both sites and the last thing I want to see is bickering about which board is better. I get useful information on both of them. I see they compliment each other and I will leave it at that.

Some of us have been members of CRT, for many, many years, and have developed some long-time friends. There are probably more PM's going that you wouldnt see.

Some of us are active on many other boards, too.

This board is great, the other boards are very good as well. If you remember ( or maybe you werent around back then ), this board developed when a previous site just wasnt doing it, for most of the folks.

It is healthy to have two or three sites for costa rica, and other places, and there is no reason to bad mouth any of it.

Am I wrong that the post in q was made by the owner of the TL board about the CRT owner? TL's competititor?

The ISG board is hard to read re: who was the OP, and if I am wrong, I apologize, but that's the impression I got, that the TL board admin was attacking the CRT admin on a third ISG site.

So, I don't get the personal low blows.

I will not say anything bad about anyone else - if someone chooses to start throwing venom around then so be it. Everyone who knows me for the last 10 years understands I've put a tremendous amount of time - energy and life into this site and its community. And it is a Community. Any other sites that wish to take that idea and try to make it better well that is up to them.

I stand by the record of CRT - its long standing brotherhood and community, and it the respect that it has rightfully earned as it pertains to Costa Rica and its sponsors. I will continue to devote my efforts in making this the best site for Costa Rica period.

Nope - not me, 'Donor - I still don't know the name nor am I familiar with the site in question. WTF does "T***" mean anyway? We go through a page of post and the name has still not been given.

But will tell you this - if they use the word "Tica" to denote whore, they are tools - I honestly don't understand why some have a problem with correcting those who use the term so incorrectly (and am glad to se others doing it now too), and not realizing how offensive the term is to Ticos and those with a brain - I'd feel the same way if someone used the "N" word to describe blacks - its offensive and ignorant - sorry, stupidity, especially preventable stupidity just annoys me.
