Thanks to all who signed the petition and supported the Hammar family during this ordeal.

Without Fox News this guy would probably still be in jail. Not picking sides here, just calling it like it is.

100% Correct. Although many will disagree with many of Fox's viewpoints on political matters, on a host of other issues such as the plight of Jon Hammer, pursuing Ch*ld molestor's..etc. Fox can be very passionate and powerful in seeking justice.

Without CNN, MSNBC, The Miami Herald, CBS News, the thousands of people who signed the petition, Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen, Senator Nelson, the State Department, and last but definitely not the least Olivia and Jon Hammer, Jon Hammer would probably still be languishing in jail.

Oh and yes, Fox News as well.

Thanks to all of them, and kudos to those who responded to the call to sign the petition.

Wonderful what we can accomplish united as Americans when we set aside our petty political agendas to strive for a common goal.

This guy was a first class dumbass. He got lucky and beat the charges on a technicality. Hopefully he has the common sense to never leave the US again. This is not the kind of person we want wandering the world representing the US.

Your criticism is too harsh. We have all phucked up at one time or another. This guy tried to do the right thing. He brought the little 410 shotgun to the attention of the authorities. He was trying to do the right thing. Unfortunately, when you get to Mexican customs, you are already on their soil and the can do anything they want. This was nothing more than a shakedown. Typical of one of the most corrupt governments on the planet.

Mexico the most corrupt? I used to live on the Mexico side of the border. Corruption they are rank amateurs at. When living/working/running a business in Indonesia, that was real corruption. And corruption well done. The most corrupt country, and in a bad way, is the USA and particularly the US side of the international border with Mexico. The only people who do not see that are the Americans that fear the other side of the border.
