Just PM me on here! Talk to ya soon!

Also, board members, I'm in the hotel morazon and will prob be ready to go out at about 11pm tomorrow night. Do I need to take a taxi to HDR even though its so close? I imagine that TV park with the same name must be right by the hotel and I don't want trouble. Thanks!

She-ite no! You don't need a taxi at any time of night from the Hotel Morazon to the HDR. Like one block. Just ignore the cigar guy, shoeshine boy, drunk crackhead girl with the cup and assorted others outside the Del Ray and walk directly with out looking too drunk. You are a pidgeon because you are a gringo but you can be less of a mark by acting like you know where you are going.

There are some posts on here about walking during the nighttimehours vs taking a taxi -- you definitely can walk to the DR from the Morazon, and I would even say you could walk to the SL as well --

Of course this should be based upon your own confort level, knowledge of where you are going, etc.... We all have different levels of comfort, so what is easy and not even questioned for me could be completely different for you.

I have regularly walked from LA to SL to DR and back in the late hours - it is about a 10 to 15 minute walk- if you don't mind a few street people, and potential view of a Ladies of the Night - then you would be fine --

If you are unsure about walking at night though from the SL to DR/Morazon, then just cab it - its cheap!

Give me a shout.....I'm a much older Disabled Vet, newly single in Costa Rica....Not Nam old, but OLD.....I live here and might also be helpful...I'm taking a couple of 18 year-old non-pros to the beach Thursday but want to get to the SL to see Russ for some vitamins later in the week. How long you here for? I must have missed that detail.. (nevermind, I see it.)

Whatever happens, you are potentially in for the time of your life!

Slinky.

Thanks! Looks like I'll actually be there until the 18th. When I get in town I'll touch base with the many of you who have offered to show me around! Hasta pronto! I did just get worried about a comment I saw that was concerning my reservations at the hotel morazon. I am about to do a search on it, but I wasn't sure what the problem was. Do they not allow ladies?(will prob know the answer in a second)...

Edit- found my answer viewtopic.php?f=4&t=41921&hilit=hotel+morazon

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE - SERIOUSLY :)

Re the Morazon,Yes they do - one of the best most laid back, no hassle places in San Jose - better places to meet guys to talk with like the Sportsmans, or Hotel Little Havana - Morazon is perhaps better for guys with some experience, a few (or many) trips under their belt.

But nothing says you can't hang out at other places, and taking a cab from the Morazon to the DelRey IMO is just dumb; really overkill.

Take it slow, realize many experts are only so in their own minds :P  :P and have a great trip.

I agree, except they are mostly "laddies" of the night.

You missed my point, the ones on the corner and in the park are TVs. The spelling was intentional

OK, floridadonor, please forgive me if I am wrong, but having seen many of your posts, I believe that you might be a female, posting as a monger. Not that there is anything wrong with being a female on this site, and I know we have women posting on the board, who are good contributors and add valuable or amusing info. But if you are a stealth woman, and I think that you are, why not give it up, you are a stealth antimonger, in any case. Again, sorry if I misjudged you.

Tuesdays can be slow, but try the HLH. Tell Jeff it is your birthday and I'll bet he'll shout you a drink. The girls there will take good care of you. Feliz cumpleanos!
