Anyone know what the odds are of getting a chica into the Residence Inn in Escazu without getting harrassed or charged a fee. You think a nonchalant approach may work? Also, what are the odds that a Chica, barring a lot of dinero, would go to Escazu with you after pulling her from the HDR, SL etc?

I'm a Marriott whore & have trouble only one time (Renaissance in Dominican Republic) getting a girl in. Had no issues at the Marriott Belen. Would not expect an issue in Escazu. Oh --- once had a problem in Sao Paulo but I was trying to bring in two. Got upgraded to a suite for $25 and all was lovely.

Dan D D-You are absolutely correct, brought Chicas in the last 3 nights with only one night desk clerk asking me to fill out a form for my chica and my wing's chica. If you have the budget, Escazu is a good rest from the barrio amon scene!

Might want to consider the Courtyard though. It's on the other side of the highway so it won't be walking distance to Starbucks but there are several good restaurants including a Hooters & (I think...) a Lonestar in the adjoining parking lot, though I would recommend the local restaurants instead. Also, if you don't mind walking the curve with the crazy Tico drivers you'd be less than 10 minutes from Multiplaza, the largest Mall in Costa Rica.

But remember - this area is not typically a good idea for those who want to spend their days in the gulch unless you don't mind the time & expense of taxis. In really bad traffic it can take 45 minutes or longer to drive those 6-7 miles, with no traffic about 15.

And let's not forget the 5-7 mil cost of a taxi each way, but if you have the rubles its a nice way to roll!

Very good point, Dan D - we stayed for years in Escazu (actually San Antonio de Escazu, which is even higher/farther - at Pico Blanco - one mountain over from The White House/Tara/Bachelor Mansion) for years, but moved downtown when the area just became geographically undesirable about 10 years ago - and its not just the time, traffic and expense; its typically newbi's who want to cash in some Marriott reward points staying (considering) staying there - it limits your chica options and pricing negociations, because of the time involved (she thinks - no accounting for chica logic, which should be near the top of the list of oxymorons  - that she is going to miss out on a customer due to the time involved in such a trip) - overall - untill you have a few trips and a list of regulars - its not a great option for the majority, however nice the property.

Good points Scuba 1. The price points can be very high to pull a chica out of the DR but like I said, if you have the ability to spend like a drunken sailor, to me, the atomosphere and product of a Escazu Brand name Hotel is worth the price and long trips. i also took my favorita there (and she enjoyed it immensly of course). BTW, just had to fill out a registration form for her one time.

Admitting you broke the law on a public board. With getting your favorite whore pregnant and trying to avoid responsibility moves you to the head of the worthless class.

Mind telling us just what the hell you are talking about :?: :?: since your response had zero to do with what Zunbake wrote  ; obviously from another thread, since drawing the conclusions you did from what was written in this one is a stretch - on the off chance you were trying to be funny - and I don't think you were - a few " :) :P " go a long way.

New guy sharing his thoughts...not my fault a couple of these Zunbake posts offend me. Don't I have the right to speak my mind as you all do??

Yes, you do - although, to be candid, if you were a paid member, speaking for a constituency of one, your posts would carry more weight - too, if every post someone makes is on one subject, promotes one idea or business, or attacks or disagrees with a fellow member, that also raises questions.

I must have missed the thread about Zunbake getting someone pregnant and trying to avoid responsibility - tieing that into looking to get a girl into a hotel to me is a stretch - and I have never met Zunbake, so I have zero clue what you are talking about, and would bet the vast majority of others don't either.

Just don't post something way out in left field, so that only you have a clue what your talking about/referring to - also, when you are new on a board, you just might want to take it a little easy before you post anything that could be considered an attack or a slam on another member - its also good if you make some posts that establish your "bona fides" so that others know that you have some idea of what you are talking about (not everyone likes - or frankly "gets" - my style of posting, but I'm almost never corrected or challenged on the info I post).

Finally, no one needs/deserves their own personal troll

I agree Scuba1 and sorry. Zunbake3 made me mad looking for advice on how not to support his Ch*ld and then the talk about sneaking girls into the hotel. I read here that is illegal, that all guests must be checked in. I think they passed that law for one reason which we can not talk about as I read the rules on posting. Zunbake3 has money enough to fly down there, stay in a nice hotel in Escazu, pay the cab fare to and from the downtown area but does not want to pay the fee to register them in the hotel?

I looked at the thread you are likely referencing and did not draw that conclusion at all, although I'll admit I did not study the thread in great detail - 'Zun can speak for himself, and probably should b/c he seems to have pissed you off quite a bit.......

While he can answer for himself, in this particular thread, how can you possibly know what his motivation is - it could be (and probably is) just a question as to whether the hotel allows "guests" - since you are new here, be advised many hotels do not; in fact it could be said that many hotels are "chica hostile" (I could name you many in San Jose downtown alone)

While I'm not one to mince words, and stupidity (especially preventable stupidity) really annoys me, you will drive yourself crazy paying particular attention to guys that post and frustrate you - plus, you really don't know:

What he meant in the other thread you are referring to
What his question was in this particular thread

Again, simply trying to clarify things; he can certainly - and should - clarify things himself.

Scuba 1, this guy is not worth my attention or bothering Tomas. BTW, there is no Chica Fee at the hotels that I know of in Escazu. I just was trying to avoid a hassle with the staff that may not want to see chicas coming through the lobby. At the Residence Inn they just require the chica to fill out a form with some ID information.
