What was the name of the last room on the left of the first floor past the back bar? Is it gone now?

El Rey, nice patio, a little noisy, but the patio and little kitchen make it a great place to party and chill.

El Rey's kitchenette is between the room and the outdoor patio.

Mansion wing, downstairs on left, 1st room Tigre, past lounge/sofas on left is Puma. I thought you were talking about the Modern wing.

On my first trip, I stayed in Hermosa, and I enjoyed the room. On my second trip, I stayed Las Palmas, because that room was one I had wanted to stay in on my first trip, but canceled. So I was curious to see what I had missed out on.

My trips are always spur of the moment and they never have anything available. Maybe someday?

Hey Capitan, with SL and increasingly with HLH too, you have to book way ahead, especially on the big holidays like Halloween and Thanksgiving. I booked my SL room for this week when I was last down, in July.

But, if ever I found myself unable to get a room at either, I would go for the Dunn Inn. It's quite nice. I ate dinner there a few times on my last trip.

Hope to see you soon!

Yea I know that, unfortunately my work be as spotty as it is now I cannot really book ahead. Probably gonna go back to what I was doing before sometime next year and then I will have more $$ and a more set schedule. Just had to have a break from the stress. I got lucky this time and HLH had the exact room I wanted for the days I wanted.

Capitain, you would be impressed with the rooms of the SL. All the rooms have some kind of a window allowing light to come in no matter where you are. The only difference is no 2 way window to the shower area from the bedroom. :D

I check there every time I get ready to go but like i said right now my work schedule is unpredictable. With the cash discount this time at HLH this entire trip is under $300 plus whatever I spend on the girls. Used miles for the flight and it only cost me 50 bucks. I just want to go pull God of Thunder's chain for a few days. I actually wanted to go tot he DR this time but the flights are a bitch from Texas.

My first room at the SL was EL DORADO a standard deluxe right across from the Penthouse door on the second floor of the modern wing.
