We are coming down late December and will be staying at SL over New Year. Know that can be a quiet time of year in some ways, but does anyone have an idea what the SL, HLH and other venues (Key Largo) may have planned?

Lots of good New Years Eve parties in Jaco, I recommend the one at the Copacabana Hotel. San Jose is dead for New Years Eve parties as most bars are closed or close early and people party at home with friends and family and millions of fireworks in San Jose

New Year's Day is even worse. It was like an alternate universe. No cars were moving, the homeless were no sleeping at the Circus Cardboard Inn, even the dogs were MIA.

I am not a big TLN, but if you can find a lady for NYE, I would suggest that you try and tie her up for New Year's Day also.

Health & happiness....
