Does anybody know what is going on at HLH? Did they change ownership again? I just got a call and they seem to have no information regarding reservations. Greg is no longer with the place and they fired the receptionist. I can't really understand the call as they are using that magic jack phone and it is pretty awful. I am really worried about my Halloween weekend reservation so if anybody knows what is going on please post!

I just got some more information by speaking with Jeff. He bought out Greg and Jimmy and there was a lot of trouble with the reservations. However, I do have my room but for the one night I have a suite they had to switch me to a different suite so all seems good. At least I hope so.

What ever your heard must be bullshit. Yes they have a new owner and everything is fine. Greg is now just a customer, he was there today. You have nothing to worry about your stay there.
You will most likely like the changes you see.

I edited my post above but there is definitely problems with the reservations. Luckily I just had to move to a different suite for one night.

My GF and I were thinking we might spend a night or two there when we come down. We will be staying our first week at SL. Who do we talk to about seeing the rooms?

Real simple, Taz - just show up, and ask at the front to see any of the rooms you might be interested in - if no one is occupying them, they will gladly show you - no need to have an appointment in advance - so long as you avoid times like Halloween when the place is likely booked, there should be a room type or two for you to look at

Thanks Scuba 1. We are coming for the New Year so they may be pretty well booked. We have booked a room at the SL over New Year's but were thinking of the HLH for a night or two between the 8th and the 13th of January. Hopefully by then they will have availability.

:) :) :)

You have your own built in entertainment given you are traveling w/ your girlfriend - but the week between Christmas and New Years is normally pretty quiet - many are visiting family - gets back to normal fairly quickly, w/in a day or 2 after New Years - just saying there might be plenty of rooms to view around that time  :)

Hope it's not too quiet. We like to party at the New Year (as well as the other 365 days). Will HLH & SL be planning anything for New Year's Eve?

I just spent the weekend at HLH and there are some major changes going on, and all for the good. There were some issues with reservations. I have one for January and the new girl checked with me to ensure all the information was correct. My advice is, that if you think you have a reservation call and double check. Now for some of the other news. New kitchen equipment went in over the weekend (new menu items already added with more to come), new sat TV system being installed, new people supporting Jeff's (new owner) operation, additional bar tenders (and I must say quite attractive), and Jeff has plans for even more changes all for the good and in the very near future. HLH is great and will only get better.

Hey TBD thanks. We will probably look at rooms there when we go over for happy hour. 8)
