Yes the kitchen is open. And the food was very good.

Sorry.....information has been received that the recipe for the meatball sub was embezzled and is now lost forever to the HLH. You'll have to suffer through whatever you're served......*shrug*

Hey Dale........

Has the kitchen re-opened at HLH?? Or were you funning us about that, too.

Good if it has re-opened. The meatball sub is great.

Hope all is well with Boyd. Seemed like a nice guy in the amount of time I spent with him. Other than that, as long as he didn't take all the pu*sy with him when he left, c'est la vie. Be there in October.

I was surprised to see some subtle but welcome changes at the HLH. Several new tables in the bar area which makes things much more comfortable and the girls are sitting there as with the benches. New reception design. Can not stress how this is a big winner. Plans to knock out the two rooms connected to the bar to extend the bar. Again awesome idea. Jeff is all business and plans to keep the changes rolling out. As I am here they are extending the satellite system with plans to put in the most televisions of any bar in Gulch.

I get the feeling that soon it will be hard to get a room on short notice here in the future.

Oh and another change I forgot to mention. Wings are now on the menu. Seemingly a better value as far as quantity as opposed to the SL. However, in my personal opinion as a wing snob the SL does have the edge as far as sauce and quality. But, in this case that is very subjective to personal tastes.

Sorry guys but the bar isn't set very high for wings. I don't eat wings or any other part of chicken anymore but did quite a bit during first football season living in SJ. No place in gulch even close to Los Amigos, Poseidon or even Claritas in the gulch. If somebody wants to take over the wing wars go to Jaco for a weekend and watch football at Los Amigos. Do their sauce and their style and you can blow everyone out of the water in SJ.
