Laura would be better off doing simple things like reducing import taxes. She can't seem to do much else. Concerning this congress-woman's idea... the only way I see this passing is with a hundred disclaimers and a limp enforcement. However, if they were to attack it like the smoking ban, which everyone thought was a joke, then I wonder what would get shut down?
This government is incapable of governing itself. Massive corruption on every level and a lengthy continuation of defending laws that are illogical and over the top.
You can't believe Laura would reduce any taxes after she has done nothing but raise taxes since taking office. Lets all be honest with what we are dealing with down here. As stated before, image is everything in Costa Rica. How many times do you need to raid a legal casino or a legal pension? Its an endless cycle of HYPOCRISY.
This is just another saving face law that wont influence a decrease in crime, but offers a solution to how the world views an insecure government. Whats the ratio of national vs international sex offenders who committed sex crimes in Costa Rica? Id be willing to bet its over 99.9% national. Is this the best they can come up with to help secure the people who need our protection the most?
If this bill passes, forget CRT and the Del Ray. Game over.
